Thanks for the head up. I guess I will just try the regular stuff that everybody does. Since I am going to Thailand, I will try the Spas, clubs and some GOGO bars? That should be safe and most likely STI's free, right? I heard the professionals are exam-ed regularly?

That said, don't let 'health checks' fool you. The girls can buy a certificate on the street for next to nothing. Devil's Den in Pattaya actually enforces real checks with the local hospital and posts the certs on their website, so that's more trustworthy. Infection rates are low though. As far as where to go, if your only intention is mongering, get off the plane and head straight to Pattaya. Coaches are easy to find at the airport, are inexpensive and frequent. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the action and there are closer hotels, but this one comes with a rooftop pool, good food, and was recommended to me.

The other big red-light area of Pattaya is Soi 6, so you might want to look for a hotel around there.

If you want to combine some tourism with your mongering, spend a day or two in Bangkok. Mongering prices are about twice what you'll pay in Pattaya, but you can take a boat ride up the river and look at ancient temples. The Reclining Buddha is a must see.

As far as light skin - Thai girls suffer from the same Asian affliction that you do and value aspirin white skin. My barfine and I spent the afternoon splashing around in the pool, and she was absolutely horrified when we got back to the room and she noticed she had developed tan lines. Thailand has a mixture of skin types, so there is something for everyone. I love honey-bronze skin colour and find it incredibly erotic and beautiful, so to each his own.

As far as pickup bars, go to Insomnia in Pattaya after the Gogo bars close down. Holy!!! You are the man. Very informative post!! I was actually hesitated to go to Thailand. I have purchased the ticket to Hongkong and Macau and hold the one to Thailand as I will need to do some budge calculation and I am not quite sure if i am interested in Thai girl that much.

My trip is mainly for mongering combined very little tourism there. I really do not care that much. But I really do not think I will go to Pattaya since I will only spend 5 days there (the last day is for catching the flight.) sukhumvit soi 22 is not far on the other side of sukhumvit, about 5 min walk down the soi past the big hotel on the left side there are many small massage shops in the small soi's with very reasonable rates, usually 1000baht (30cad) for 1 hour massage+hj where you can find young attractive girls that give pretty good massage.

This is thread necromancy but I will still throw in my 2 cents.

I have done Bangkok and Pattaya.

Bangkok has way more hot girls. However you pay a bit more. Not the double that some earlier poster said, but a good 15% more for the top quality. Mind you there is WAY MORE top quality. The important thing to know is that for the hottest girls you have the choice between the gogos and the massage hotels in Huai Khwang. Between the two, you will pay less and get a better experience in Huai Khwang, with equally hot girls, but it is INCALL ONLY. That's where the locals go... gogos are for falangs. Bangkok is also a rad city just for hanging out in.

Pattaya is a piece of shit in terms of everything other than getting laid. Seriously the city is so uninteresting otherwise. However there are lots of girls for cheap. The top quality is only in a small number of gogos however (Baccara) and you pay basically Bangkok prices. I am not sure about massage hotels in pattaya but overall my poon experience was better in Bangkok. However if you are looking for mid-pricerange I think there is an argument for pattaya.
