Hey all..

Big ass buisness trip coming up, heading to Northern Italy and France (Venice, milan, Rome and Paris) are the Major centers I will be in) Any advise on pooning, inexpensive places to stay that are centrally located and decent. (no rental car) Cool sights other than the obvious ones. Looking to find out where the best areas of those cities are to stay, keeping in mind I am relying on public transport and/or taxi's to get my sorry ass around on the off work time.

I am sure some of you well travelled perberts and perbettes will have some great insight!!!

In Rome, you should spend a whole afternoon wandering through the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. You should also eat as much gelato as you can. It'll be hot, and you'll need something to cool you down. Take some time to chill out in the Piazza de Navone and watch life go by.

From what I have heard there isn't allot there hobby wise or allot that has been talked about. I am sure if you knew either Italian or french you could maybe ask around. They are still fantastic cities to see, so worst case do the tourist thing.

You can also check out the "Il Messaggero" paper in Rome, I am sure that is hit and miss. And most people with the ads in there are going to speak Italian I would guess.

Also, check this out

In a nice wet pussy!
Northern Italy & Southern France have one thing in common: Monaco

If you just spend all your free time in Nice, Villefranche and Monaco, you'll have experienced everything that is great about this area. There is much to see, taste, and plenty of eye candy to go around. A lot of other spots are within a short train ride, such as the wine regions, the beaches, the great yachts, the Grand Casino, and did I mention the eye candy?

Well, I've been to all 4 places and you'll have a great time as long as you stay as close to any of the "down town areas" that you can. Didn't do any pooning while I was there so not much help, but when in Rome watch out for the pick pockets by the Collisium and the Roman Ruins, especially if you see a group of gypse type woman and children. I was being careful not to let them take anything from me and a young girl 12?? still rifled my pockets without me knowing!!

I wish I was going back soon.

yes, totally agree with you. You GOTTA watch your wallet and all your personal belongings, I got my wallet stolen 3 times in milan.

Incident #1
Believe it or not, I was stopped by someone who dressed as police once(there was 2 of them), tells me that he suspect I am dealing drugs and want me to open my brief case for inspection. Well, what am i suppose to do, I am in a forgein country !! As soon as he saw my stack of cash in the brief case, they grabbed it and ran away.

Incident #2
Its the typical subway escalator trick. while I was riding the escalator, one guy was standing infront of me and one old guy was standing behind me. When the escalator ride almost ends, the guy infront of me tries to light a cigerate and "accidentally" dropped the lighter. You know there is usually this big plate of steel at the end of the escalator ride. He bend down to try to pick up the lighter and by doing so blocking my way out of the escalator. Inevitably I crashed into him and the guy behind me crashed into me(kinda like a traffic jam). Thats how I got my wallet stolen by the old guy behind me.
I realized it as soon as they disappeared out of my sight. Call the credit card company to report lost as soon as i got back to my hotel room, told me that someone just spent 15000CND with my card. Luckily I had to pay for none of that.

Incident #3
2 gypse kids, one grabs my hand all the sudden and got all of my attention. T he other kid got my wallet this way. Fortunately, my italian client saw this, he slapped the kids and got my wallet back.

On contorary, to what Dredger said, I find the country side more enjoyable. I am pretty sure there is a big pooning industry in milan though. You see adult stores everywhere. I think there are 4-5 of them in central station alone.

Yes you are correct, I had a 30 euro expresso and a 16 euro coke at Plazade Espana. But if you dont drink at those tourist area, the price are okay and I have had some of the best expresso that I ever had.

Out of those four areas that you are travelling, I am most familiar with milan.
Hotels in milan are generally expensive and the rooms are small. My favorite ones are Principe di Savoia Hotel and the Westin Palace across it. However; if there are fairs/exhabition taking place, they often jack up the price way too high. One thing to keep in mind though, the price is negociatable. There was this once, I called in Principe di savoia and ask for the rate. They quoted me 320 with breakfast included. So I said, can I get a better rate if I dont want the breakfast. The reciptionist told me that there is nothing they can do. I said that westin palace offered me 265 without breakfast(westin palace is their main competitor and its located right across them) but I have stayed at principe di savoia before and would really like to stay with them again if they can give me a better rate. I end up getting 280 with breakfast included.

If you need any additional info, ie resturant recommendation...ect feel free to pm me

Haven't been to Italy or France in a couple of years and only did limited pooning on all my trips so by no means do I call myself an expert. Having said that a monger will monger everywhere he goes :D In Rome you need to get yourself to Via Venito. This is a fairly famous street that has a lot of Piano bars and cafes that are open late at night. Dont carry large amounts of money walking here at night, Italian pickpockets are world renowned and so are scam artists selling "stolen Rolex and dimaond rings".

You will get approached by several N. African types who will try and drag you to these little piano bars for a commission they are paid later. Politely tell 'em to fuck off since they will build this into your cover charge when you get there. Piano bars are typically smaller and dark and are staffed by E. European and Russian women. You will typically pay about EU$ 200 for about two hours of action. If its late at night you might even be able to get yourself a bargain. Beware of Brazilian transvestites who are becoming more and more common there. Overall the talent level is great in Rome and reasonably priced (compared to the prices of everything else in Europe).

Champagne bars aka "Bar de Nuit": avoid most of the places around Pigalle, the girls are commissioned on drinks and will encourage your consumption. Champagne inevitably costs huge amounts. If you accidentally end up getting screwed like this, you might be able to get a discount if you pay cash (but never a good idea to be wandering Paris with that much on you). The girls are called "entraineuse" as in "leaders", they try to lead you to a few drinks. They can follow you home to your hotel though, but in order to do so, they have to sell at least a bottle of Champagne. So you are in for an expensive evening. That said, you can get them to slip your their cell phone number (make sure it starts with 06) and hook up ith them later to avoid the " Bar fine". Potentially dangerous for her if she got caught.

Many of these bars can be found around the Opera Garnier (they are cheaper and less dangerous than around Pigalle). They will have guys trying to hook up tourists outside strip clubs or the like.

Another really good source is "La Vie Parisienne" which has a lot of ads for Indys and that should run you about EU$150-200 for about 2 hrs.

Another place you might want to check out is "avenue de Gravelle" along the "Bois de Vincennes". This avenue is known for its vans : scantily clad women sit on the driver's place and wait for customers. The action takes place inside the van :D

Rue St Denis is like Times Sq or Soho in London or Canal St. in Amsterdam . Paris has many other (mostly street options) and street hookers can be found in all parts of the city, both residential and commercial. Its not at all uncommon to come out of a store or a supermarket and see 3 or 4 Hos dressed in combat gear (micro minis) with a line up of cars waiting to make a deal.

Make sure you try the Moroccan girls while in Paris, they are the fucking best and are 3 holers 9 out of ten times. They're also a safe bet since again most of the S. American looking "chicks" are transvestites unless of course you're like the French and have an affinity to guys with tits! LOL

Hope this was useful!

PS Whatever you do make sure you spend some time in Monaco as a previous poster had suggested. Its Vegas with class and a shit load of money, infact you might want to pack your tuxedo for a night or two out while there.

inexpensive places to stay, centrally located

I suggest buying Lonely Planet guides to the places you are going to visit. Their books on France and Italy are full of good places to stay, from dirt cheap to moderate to expensive (as one's preference goes), good places to eat and all the sights that one may not want to miss! As for pooning, well... that kind of detail isn't there, but there are oblique references to areas of town.

France and Italy are definitely my two favourite countries in Europe... have been many, many times.

I've never gotten into these things while in Europe, but I'm pretty sure that most working women you will encounter over there will be Eastern European, as opposed to locals.
