Travel restrictions to MB

Well, there goes any travelling SPs plans to Manitoba. But I am causiously ok with this. We got to take heavy measures to avoid risking another spike. We cannot go endure more code red lockddowns. This last one was brutal.

Yes, inability to enforce the rule is where it loses it effectiveness. People have dismissed their social responsibilities.

Just like speeding and stopping at lights. People mostly do it, and if you dont you take the chance of being caught and fined.

Kind of like meeting escorts. Some may be caught...but most will get away with it.

a lot of the enforcement relies on tips, of which hundreds are reported each week.

It's about time IMO, we should have been doing this for months, however:

Even if it were possible to stop everyone on air and ground what is stopping a traveling SP from simply staying in her rental apartment for the duration of her stay like she's told? No idea how they are going to enforce it but short of everyone going into a designated secure hotel no one is going to be able to keep track of who visits the SP if she stays put. LE could even put an ankle monitor on her or use a mandatory phone tracking app like other countries have done (not that I think that will happen) and she will be just fine entertaining clients who visit. LE can follow up with her all they want.

To be clear, I'm not condoning it, but I suspect this going to happen.

I don’t know what the government would have done if the touring ladies hadn’t come up with the idea for public safety when
travellers flying in get off the plane they should go straight to a hotel and stay there for 14 days they
don’t go visiting family, their friends, go to the mall or spend the night at a bar they just let everyone
know you’re staying at a hotel near the airport. When the 14 days are up you let everyone know, usually
on social media that it’s your last day!

What did you hear on news? Anyone coming after 12 midnight after Thursday in Manitoba need to stay home for 14 days.everyone!

according to the spirit of the order any flight coming into Wpg from another province those on board are required to self isolate for 14 days unless you fall into one of the exceptions ie flight crew (essential workers)

This has been considered by a couple of provinces. A specific hotel at the travellers’ expense, and limited access for visitors.
