Train Hopping

I just read an article about
a guy who train hopped across
Canada from the west to the east
coast. Have you ever train hopped ?
Any interesting tales you wish to
share about your experience?

Used to do it a lot just as way of getting around. Sometimes I'd manage to get on of the engines, or just climb up on one of the box cars. Used to fun wandering the length of the train while it was moving. Can't do anymore now, no ladders to the top of the cars anymore plus they lock the engines.
