I read an article today in the paper about a rise in syphilis in Canada. 47 in BC and they said mainly in the lo-track pro area. I'm sure you all are careful but it was a reminder for me what can happen. I haven't done the tracks in over 10 years since getting the bejesus scared outta me by le, but I wanted to let you know about the article.

There seems to be the misconception that only sw's have diseases sp's are doing the exact same thing!!And from what I've experienced sw's are a lot more safety conciencious. Sorry guy's but to me the ultimate GFE could leave you with an STD!!
Alex, some good info and links but I have to disagree with the outbreak being in the downtown core (the gay outbreak no doubt, but not the SP outbreak). The original study indicated the Downtown Eastside (i.e. lo-track). I'm sure there are SW in the lo-track area practising unsafe sex (after all, the shocking revelations from the Bakker case indicates what they may sadly subject themselves to), but IMO unsafe sex is unlikely to be practised by SP in the hi-track area which is closer to the downtown core. The GVA has a number of tracks, each track is different.
As I and others have posted, SW and ex-SW from the hi-track and other areas can also be found on the internet working as ES and also working as MPA.

ldl please read the original study in question. The area with the high incidence of Syphilis is the DTES. I doubt if any of the ladies in the BBBJ debate ever stepped in the DTES let alone lived there!

BTW IMO the "Ultimate" GFE would include DFK which no doubt can lead to the transmission of a STD.

I am pretty sure that it is up to the SP's themselves to look after their health.
By running an STD program the the owners would admit that they are not only aware of what goes on behind closed doors, but also encourage it.

I do not pick up girls outside anymore for the fact none of the girls I used to see are there . Anyone who used to frequent Franklin 3-5 years ago will know what I'm talking about. Franklin and McLean had a group of beautiful girls Sidney,Tiffany,Casey,Mercedes,Rose these girls were higher priced than others up the street but to me worth it.Always very safe .I have never done a car date always went to the Atrium Hotel. The only one I know still goes outside occasionally is Sidney who now goes by Tonya. She advertises on the net now last I heard she was at Platinum.
