Yes, no problem with that. Aslong as you don't dunk plug part of the cord into a gallon of water, it's Aok!

Can someone tell me if I can mow my lawn with an electric mower when the grass is a wee bit damp?
Why not?? As for the shock potential, there is none. If its raining I might be concerned but the motors are usually seal units, and also you usually plug into a GFI plug anyways.

The wet grass may be harder to cut when its wet but otherwise safe.

IF you are really really REALLY paranoid.... wear rubbers---on your feet silly :D

Unless your cord is messed up, there's little chance of electrical shock hazard. If the grass is still wet but relatively short, there shouldn't be any issue other than a potentially uneven cut due to grass sticking.

If the grass long and wet, then it actually could overload the mower. It really depends on how long/how wet. Either way, you can always turn the mower off and let it cool down if it starts to overheat.

Slippery when wet

I think the main danger would come in if there are any steep slopes on your lawn
- be careful (footwear grips, possibly steeltoe) that you don't somehow slip on wet grass (or mud) and somehow end up mowing your foot (or other non-expendible part of anatomy):)

not a specially electric mower (vs gas) concern, but a concern nevertheless

Probably not a bad idea to wear proper shoes for the job, so no sandals, etc.

CLEAN YOUR MOWER UNDERNEATH!!
One thing to keep in mind when cutting your grass (especially when it's wet/damp), is to clean the bottom part of your mower. I have a relative that lives in Vancouver and he can't count the number of lawnmowers that he's seen thrown out because the motors got burnt out because people forgot to clean the bottom of them. The grass builds up and the blade has to work against the build-up to keep turning, and will eventually overheat and burn out the motor !

Here's what you do.
Get the lawn mower out and set up on the front lawn. Go inside and put on something very sexy. Next, go outside and stand beside the lawn mower looking perplexed. Within a few minutes you should have one of your male neighbors offerring to help you out by cutting your grass. All you need to do then is lie back on a lounge chair, in your sexiest pose, sipping a cool one and watch the sucker in action.

Stay tuned for Lesson #2 - Painting your house.

Ack, whats with women and lawn care these days? I see more and more women working jobs where they mow comercial lawns and more and more women mowing thier residential laws.
Just dosent seem right for a woman to mow the lawn.
Dont get me wrong I am not being sexist, its just that mowing the lawn is one of those things which looks wierd if a woman does it.

If the lawn is small enough you may want to consider purchasing a push mower. I've been mowing the grass with mine for 7 years.
