Toshiba car amplifier

I just bought 2 new Toshiba TP850G car amplifiers. It was suspiciously cheap ($100) for both, considering the box still had a sticker price of $460 for 1. Took it home, then Googled it to get some product reviews, found none on any Toshiba car products. Come to think of it, I've never heard of Toshiba producing car amplifiers, much less any car audio products.

Has anyone here heard of the quality of Toshiba car amps?

are you sure they are Toshiba and not Tosheba?? I have never heard of them also.

Yeah, Toshiba. I even read the manual and the wiring diagram last night sitting on the shitter.

Have you checked Ebay to see if anyone else sold something similar?

The thing with audio systems, cheap is not always better. You do get what you pay for.

Interesting...

Toshiba generally makes chips and microprocessors for other manufacturer's car audio equipment, including Cd players, DVD players, and amps. Is there a website printed anywhere on the manual? back page maybe?
Does the amp have Class-KB technology? Where was it manufactured?
And where did you buy it!
