Super democracy won over super PACs.
Karl Rove's Superpac spent over US$ 300 Million during the last election.

In terms of ROI to donors = Romney/Ryan lost their bid for the White House, GOP has 2 less seats in the Senate and 1 in the House.

Linda McMahon of the WWE Group spent almost US$ 100 Million during her last 2 Senate campaigns in Connecticut and lost both.

Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay, spent US$ 144 Million of her own money but lost to Moonbeam Jerry Brown for California Governor.

Money might work wonders in a Banana Republic but not in the US.

The most dangerous man in American Politics is no longer Karl Rove but Grover Norquist. Total nutbar to the extreme.

His group targets any Repugnant that goes along with a tax increase and gets them voted out.

Yes your right they both have raised a crazy amount of money from super packs and lobbyist.
Obama raised and spend more, funny how he boasted when he campaiging in 2008 how he would not use super packs or lobbyist.
Then hired 20 or so lobbyist in the first 2 weeks.

The 2012 Money Race: Compare the Candidates Facebook

Below is a tally of the money raised and spent through September by the presidential candidates, the national party committees and the primary “super PACs” whose sole purpose is to support a candidate. Contribution and spending totals do not include money raised or held by each candidate’s “victory fund,” a joint fund-raising committee that will distribute funds to the campaigns and party committees. In addition to these committees, nonprofit groups that do not have to file with the Federal Election Commission and other super PACs have spent at least $65 million more on television advertising, almost all of it against President Obama or in support of Mitt Romney.
