Il Giardino, an awesome Italian restaurant. You need to make reservation in advance though.

Likewise with Le Bernardin, book ahead of time. Head Chef, Eric Rupert, presents artwork out of fresh food. It's located between 6th and 7th Ave on 51st. If I recall, it's a very long 2 block walk from Radio City Hall. If you are on business or dining with a special lady, may I suggest to request a private salon setting.

While I'm on the topic of fine dining, do try Zen Fine Cuisine in the heart of Steveston. It's the one where a foodie from The New York Times praised it as "... the best chinese restaurant outside of Hong Kong...". I've dined there 4 times in the last month. Who would have thought a combination of fine French and Asian Cuisine would be so absolutely delicious. It can be a costly dinner for two so bring lots of cash.

Peace.

My 2 favorites in the Big Apple will always be Rao's on East Harlem ( toughest reservation in NYC ) and NOBU. The lemon chicken and meatballs at Rao's are to die for. However, didn't like the Rao's they opened at the Caesar's Forum Shops about 5 years ago. NOBU which is owned by celebrity chef Nobu Matsushisa and Robert De Niro is still considered one of the world's most sexiest and hippiest restaurants ever. Loved the way Titanic actress Kate Winslet describes it; " Heaven on Earth, Sex on a Plate. " :) :)

By dessert time, nothing is more outrageously divine as the Frozen Hot Chocolate at good old Serendipity. Always a must for me in every NYC visit. :) :)

With the closure of popular casual French resto DB Bistro Moderne on West Broadway a few months back together with Lumiere, the only place to have the popular DB Burger is the original DB Bistro Moderne in the Big Apple. The said burger was $ 30 bucks in Van but the original one is 3x in NYC. :) :)

Probably not your cup of tea but i'd head straight to Dirt Candy, a critically acclaimed gourmet vegetarian restaurant.

I just remembered a down-to-earth Italian restaurant I had a couple of casual business lunches at, Torrisi Italian Specialties(sp?).
This was about a year ago and they have since opened their doors for dinner which I hear is just as fab.
Good strong coffee and delicious chicken parmesan.
My apologies for not being able to recall the address.

Peace.

When it comes to steak, you gotta take that short trip to Brooklyn and experience the porterhouse in Peter Luger. Truly amazing! :thumb:

Smith & Wollensky along 3rd Avenue and 49th is a good one as well. :) :)
