Ive seen them twice at Rogers over the past 10 years. They sounded amazing, the venue is great and although it's been a few years since I last saw them, I'm sure my man Maynard is still killin it. He actually has a fairly 'clean' voice that will stand the test of rock God time. Awww I wish I was going now! Have fun!
They sounded amazing, and being on the floor I got to be fully imersed in their laser light show and screens that tripped you out. It sounded like they were in the studio except the pounding bass that rattled whatever object was in your hand. Maynards vocal's are still point, he was wearing an oufit that looked like something that the Halo protagonist wears. I can't believe it took 20 years to seem them again. I'm not going to miss them again when they come around.
No songs from Undertow, I've come to the conclusion that album is closer to a heavy metal album than the others. Their next 3 albums fall into that progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and art rock that goes along with the imagery that's displayed on the screens. It sucks because I dig Undertow, though it doesn't take away from how amazing of a performance it was.
