Its more likely his computer is infected and is doing it automatically he's probably not aware of it.

A few years ago, my computer was infected and was sending out messages with goofy headers to everyone in my contacts list. One such message was sent to a very prim and proper religious lady. It was headed "Fucking with dogs", and I had a hell of a time convincing her I wasn't some kind of weirdo!

Try this..put a bogus address in your address book like 000abc...put it as the first in your list and your computer cant send any emails out by itself because it stops sending after it cant send to the bogus address.
