To dine or not to dine?

In all my previous relationsips, DATY has always been a part of my repertoire as I believe in pleasing my women. I enjoy giving as much as I do receiving. But when it comes to AMPs or SPs, I'm a bit reluctant due to the health risks involved. So tell me gents, what is the worst case scenario if I did engage ini DFK and DATY with a provider? What are the risks involved? To dine or not to dine....that is the question  Your thoughts in this matter is very much appreciated.

Tarugo, just do a search here for "DATY risk". You'll get 122 hits. This topic has been beaten to death. We don't need yet another thread on it. There's also a Health forum. Please read it.

Probably less. Most SPs clean themselves before every encounter.

Yes this has been spoken of many times. It is a topic of interest to me and after reading the posts, overall i am less worried about it as initially. Safe sex is no sex...and I am not there yet.

As with all risks, you need to assess the risk for you. My decision will be made at the time with each woman as my instints will guide me. I enjoy DATY, so I may take more of a risk (if there really is one) then a guy who could take or leave DATY.

Most civilians I pick up in a bar don't usually fuck 10 guys a day. In all honesty us as john and you as hookers are a higher risk group.

At the same time, an SP can fuck 10 clean guys in a day (for example) but if you fuck one girl who slept with one unclean guy, who's at higher risk? Everybody will have an opinion on who is cleaner. Just like everybody will have an opinion and view on politics. I used to go to the bar often, and have seen the same girls go home with a different guy every night.

Dental Dams

During that "Safer Sex Trade" doc that was on CBC a while back, the one Sp that was interviewed mentioned using dental dams for men who wanted to go down on her. Perhaps when making arrangements with an SP you wish to see, you could make a request that she have some available in case you wish to partake in that activity and you have concerns about the safety aspect. Or maybe you can even try to acquire them yourself, so that you can have them with you when the time comes.

actually, that has yet to be proven as most escorts use condoms
and many chicks in the bar still don't!

the only safe sex is no sex ... if you are worried about risks then stay
home and use the self service option.

I can't speak for all SPs but the one's I know personally and am friends with are all are militant about getting tested and safe sex. I think the odds are probably lower than picking up some random chick... simply because we HAVE to take care of ourselves and *if* something should come back positive, we'd be responsible enough to get it dealt with ASAP.

Oh well....

Damn. I thought I was on the "other" site when I posted this. Oh well, I guess I'm posting again. Guess that means the "ignore" button will get worn out pretty quickly

Provided she's clean, my only other piece of advice is to never lick a chick with pubes (or at least pubes that are too long). Get one of those wiry suckers snagged in your throat, and you'll be hacking blood for a week.

Right. As sex professionals, we take our sexual health seriously.

Before I started escorting I did a lot of research about it to help me decide whether or not to jump in. One thing I learned (that really surprised me) was that statistically speaking, sex professionals account for only 3-5% of STD cases. By comparison, teens represent approximately 35% of cases. So the other 60% are just sexually active "civilians".

But still, statistics are just numbers, whereas we are talking about an intimate encounter with a real person. There is no risk-free sexual encounter, unless it is mutual masturbation.

Oh, one more thing.... dental dams are available (the STD clinic hands them out if you ask) if you want to go that route, or for a quick & more easily available alternative, you can cut a condom open and use it flat that way.

Who really knows right?

I think anytime that you have sex...or kiss or go down on a girl..GAMBLE.

Like many people have said...sex is just a gamble. Even if it is safe sex...there are things you can still get when using a condom. And they're pretty nasty.

I really have an issue that I never mentioned on this board.

Personally, I think that if someone has a medical question...or a serious concern...consult your doctor.

With everyone on here (myself included), sharing our limited medical knowledge, it has the potential to make someone feel as though they have "the word" on the issue they are asking about.

My ideas however are the same as Isabelle (babe why do we always agree on everything???:D ), girls in the buisness who are responisble are more interested in testing. People who go to the bar and then think that the person they had unsafe sex with was like "too hot to have anything", are higher risk than a heavily tested person.

I say to the person who started the thread...go to your doctor...weigh what risks you are willing to take and then proceed.

I have no idea why the health section is an open forum. I would like to see someone change it to where a poster can only pose a question to the health nurse...she answers...then the thread is locked after the professional answer. Why should it be an open forum? We are not professionals. Just a thought.

Are those stats per capita or just overall because SP's are a small percetage of the population so if they made up 3-5% of cases then I would be worried.

I agree with your coment on the health forum, in fact that is one of the valuable services provided on this board. As for asking your doctor...easier said then done...I don't think I would and I am usually pretty open about things. Interestingly enough - if my doctor was female, I would feel more comfortable asking then my male doctor - go figure.

Also its would be tougher to ask your family doctor if you're married :D
