Hi everyone, I've been a bit naive and have gotten scammed a few times, losing time and money and even getting robbed and needing a trip to the ER.

Does anyone have any tips on how to find legitimate ads and avoid getting into dangerous situations? Any help is appreciated. Thank you :)

stick to reputable agencies that are posted on review forums... Even Indie's have pulled stunts like ghosting after deposits so always stay alert [ ie Katie Angel ]

Even "Verified" on LL isnt safe FYI...

Some quick tips:

I agree that agencies are the way to begin but not all cities have them. Look for girls who advertise here on PERB or another ligit site, read the reviews and ask questions here.

In some towns LL is a cesspool of scams, always check PERB for mention of the girl or the last 4 phone digits.

If the pics and or price look too good to be true, they are. Learn how to do reverse image searches on ads.

Always think with the big head instead of the little one no matter how horny you are.

Google providers. Read reviews here. Agencies can be good, but a reputable indie is just as good especially if you want all your money going into supporting the provider and her business. Obviously everything incurs a small amount of risk but go with your gut on top of things like pro website, social media presence, positive reviews, sometimes media presence (I have been in the news fighting for SWer rights), a mix of pro photos and selfies, a good onlyfans, etc.

I’m so sorry to hear about your horrible experiences and that you had to go to the ER. To avoid scams and horrible experiences like you have had, I would suggest to see providers from reputable agencies and those who post on PERB and/or have great reviews or are reputable. Most reputable providers will have social media (twitter usually), websites, and reviews on review boards. You can search the provider name and last 4 digits of their phone number here to find reviews. Many reputable providers also will have professional photos as well.

Always try to do your homework on providers you want to see. Also always go by your gut feeling. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably is not. I hope this helps from a providers point of view on this.

1 - always use a texting app regardless of what the other people say or rules they may impose
2 - never E transfer anyone at any point ever
3 - don’t use your real name ( they don’t why should you)
4 - always check the review board , if there is no reviews or she is DNR that should be a sign to not see her
5 - your safety and security always comes first never allow anyone to tell you otherwise .
yes to points 2, 3 and 5
Re 1 and texting from my phone well I've been doing that since I was able to text (no text app) and since I am careful (read paranoid) I delete texts. Not expecting someone to get a warrant to check my phone records you know ...
Re 4, the DNR, there are some very real and extremely fine providers who ask for no reviews, so its not a definite red flag but something one can just ask, why have you asked for no reviews? which may lead to a nice dialog and potentially for you, you pooner you, a very fine time!!

Carry a very big concealed weapon, expose it and she might fuck you anyway. Not talking about guns.... for SP rip off artists.... Otherwise just walk away.

But seriously in our modern society, people are under extreme stress due to life, money, personnal relationships, mental issues; our human reaction is violence. Its hardwired into us. In our modern life we are supposed to control that violence (eg. not let it out). Stress, Drugs, alcohol lower that control.

Calling it a scam and getting jumped, well thats theft and assault. Again its agencies and well reviewed SP vs getting scammed. But in todays economy people are getting cheaper and the bottom scum want to feed.

As for violence toward SPs:
There is no call to do violence to any SP, but this shit still happens. And because of the nature of the SP business, men get away with it. Why, the individual SP that is alone, no backup, or very naive (is at risk of violence) vs. an SP who has a plan, backup, support system (who will call the police , but are still at risk).

The dream of lambs lying down with lions is a myth due to the nature of the beast. As human being we all should be able to overcome the beast and act rationally.

I've loosened up on the E.Transfer bit, which does reveal my first name but what I do is if I entransfer I change my email address to another temporarily which has a pseudonym on it, and then I switch back to my normal address after the transaction is complete. Even though my first and last name come up on the name of my account I also have my pseudonym (I.e. nickname/shortened name) in brackets and an email address. If they every try and blackmail you with a paper trail you started you can deny it later on saying to others it's not the email associated with your account.

I have a sole proprietorship. So—just like any business you’d pay a deposit to or put a credit card on file with—if I scam you, you can SUE me and destroy everything I’ve built; my whole career and livelihood. So yeah. It’s safe to pay a deposit to me. Cuz no matter how much more important you think your life is than mine, I don’t agree. Fucking around with your little life is never going to be worth my livelihood or freedom (yeah, I can go to jail for extortion).

Many of us have registered businesses.

Ever think about incorporating? I’m one man business as well and it has some tax advantages, with a good accountant, and it protects your personal assets if you get sued. It cost me around $600 to incorporate but that was a few years ago.

If a reputable provider asks for your full name, she wants to Google you and make sure you did not just came out of prison for murder.

If a reputable provider asks you for a deposit, she wants to make sure you will not cancel last minute because your grandma just died.

If a reputable provider asks you for a real phone number, she wants to be able to give real life info to the police if you do harm her.

Scammers will rarely asks for your full name, they want your money and fast. They’ll ask for a deposit using fake photos. Maybe 2-3 “girls” will use the same phone number and same copy/paste message and just switch. Seen on merb, maybe they’ll even go as far as making up a sob story like “my car broke down can you send me money so that I can come see you?”

It’s odd coming from a provider you’ve never met and who has little to no online presence to validate that she truly exists.

Learning who is real and who is going to scam you does not come to picking agencies only. I'll risk getting harmed if I know all the money is going to the hooker. (service provider is lame and soft. HOOKER is a great word. It's strong and says something without trying to hide anything) We are the lowly, the girls are the noble. They should get as much reverence as any practicing nurse. However, like nurses and doctors, not without scrutiny or criticism.

It was mentioned here earlier, but barely touched on, almost unnoticeable. The one thing that will guarantee you decrease your odds of being scammed:

Don't let your little head do ANY of the thinking!
