There's some good points in the thread for you to reflect on. There's no shame in seeing providers (despite what society makes us feel), but if it's not bringing you joy, and even has become a negative in your life it could be time for change.
In terms of quitting anything cold turkey my recommendation is to make it hard for yourself to automatically reach for something that has become a habit, and importantly, to fill that space in your life with something else. Deleting your accounts, deleting provider numbers, clearing your browser history/favourites, etc. are all things that can make you pause. And in that pause, actively choose a different activity. If you are already into fitness, maybe a sport or something like rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking. These are things that would fill time, take energy (and money), and also hopefully allow you to meet some friends who are into the same activities! Not everyone is just into drinking in free time, but you won't find the people who aren't at the bar. Those people are out doing things! Best of luck ❤
