TinEye: An end to photo fraud?

Hey guys. This post is going to upset a bunch of providers but should make pooners happy.

I'm very excited about a new FREE online service that finds photos used across the Internet: www.tineye.com

You can upload a photo or even just point tineye at a site. It will then search over a billion photos online and show where else it's used.

"So what?", you ask.

See a "too good to be true" photo on CL? pump it through tineye and check it out.

This isn't 100%, but wow what a tool!

I hope that most viewers already know that asian ads are fake pics anyway. Just add in the too-good-to-be-true pic of non-asians when the sp doesn't have a website, and you are good to go. Anything close to the pic is a bonus lol. Sps with websites use professional shots, so when someone (remember Barbie & Chanel) "borrows" pics and has no reference to a site, you can assume the fake. If a non-asian goes to the expense (several hundred dollars) of professional photography, it isn't to put in a CL ad, it's for a site) The asian ads often don't even bother to remove the source (sex141.com is plastered all over lots ) or a neat little rectangle is cut out of the shot.

Or, just shoot a pm to arianna; no doubt she'll already know lol.

Interesting tool for sure, but you have to register at tineye.com in order to use it. There is no privacy policy so it only stands to reason they sell your email addy.

Obviously...but the more prudent thing would be is to create a new account and once you're confirmed, delete it. Let someone else recycle the email address and get bombarded with spam, lol.

Does this mean we can finally find out who has been stealing our pics and using them as their own? Thats one of my pet peeves.

Does the photo have to have the same saved name in order to search it?

The great thing is it has nothing to do with the file name. It just matches the picture itself. The great thing is even if the picture is cropped (like that second example) the pictures will match!

Don't get too excited, this has been around for a little while, and is not all that.

This site only searches selected sites. ((which you can recommend to them, then they may add that site) they do not search 100% of the web) with the millions of sites, it is still like finding a needle in a haystack... a really big one at that!

Exactly....I know some pics are fake and Tineye didn't find them. I would say it finds about 20-30% of the pics I looked up. It's kind of like the BBB. Just because the company doesnt have a negative report doesnt mean that they're not nasty.

I have a pro photographer for my adult stuff and we go out of our way to take seperate pics for CL. I try to post the best shots I can while still maintaining some discretion. I've never once posted fake pics or pics of anyone but myself. Why do girls bother to use fakes? It's just going to destroy your reputaion with the first face to face let-down.

I've had one person have the idea that the pics I used weren't really of me. I sat him down at my comp and showed him the whole 300 shot photoshoot and showed him the outfit I wore, the background I used. That ended that dispute.

I also knew a white SP in Van who told me out-right that she simply found pics of a simillar girl on the web, shrunk them and used them....funny, I read a review for her where the guy was very much putting his name on the fact that her pics were real. poor guy.

You'd be surprised. Many, if not most guys dont listen to their head between the ears, instead, they listen to their "head" between their legs. These girls or their papsan/mamasan have a lot of volume and then move from one place to the next or out of country so posting a fake pic is not uncommon.
