Tinder Success (Online Dating).... Does this shit actually work??

As a university student I have heard a ton of this app Tinder. Basically it shows you profile photos of people near you and you swipe right to Like and left to Ignore. I was just as much of a skeptic as anyone of this app because it is so superficial and based entirely off a 2 second glance at someones main profile photo but its actually been pretty damn successful. So far I have had 5 good quality matches within 3 days and I have my first date on Thursday witha girl I really get along with. I dont expect for anything serious to come out of this but its is a nice alternative to this hobby in some aspects.

Just curious if anyone else has had any experience witn this app or any alike?

Little Turtle thats awesome, just curious... On average how many matches did you receive daily and how long had you been using the app till you found your gal?? I have been told and think of myself to be a handsome guy but getting only 1-2 matches a day while someother guys say they get minimum 20 a day is a bit discouraging lol

I think I get a 0-3 matches a day whenever I'm on a swiping spree. 5 on a good day. I've been using the app on and off since December I think. So yeah, it took some doing but it's nice to finally find someone.

There's nothing special about Tinder; it's the same as any other dating site. Basically if you have some stupid cosmetic gimmick, it can work. But if you're just an average thin/fit guy in uni, forget it.

I have a body not unlike Michael Phelps' at the Beijing Olympics. Full head of hair. Normal looking face. Swiped right to every girl under 25 for a week. My only match was morbidly obese. Of course college age girls consider me an old ass man at 27, but still.

And going on a date is a far cry from having sex. I went on maybe a dozen throughout my late teens early 20's (after messaging thousands of Okcupid girls), but none of them would ever fuck me. None would even go on a second date.

Not sure why guys feel they have to score that magical civilian pussy anyway when there are all these sp's to choose from. It's not even that good from what I hear.

FWIW, i tried out Tinder for a couple months just to check it out (also bc i am in tech, and any new, popular app piques my curiousity).. i too had a low percentage of matches locally, but when i went to other cities, the match rate increased dramatically. So it might be the Vancouver dating scene syndrome.

It's a purely visual medium so as long as you're tall, good-looking and fit, you'll do fine. Also have a pic with your bare chest (with some muscles) and some other high quality pictures of you doing stuff.

Ya that's what I figured but BOOM! I decided that I didn't want to do the same thing as these other guys.

I would see her first for 2 hours $600 and make my decision on whether or not I would see her again following that one time. Sort of once a month at $600 for Two hours. That's when I made the comment about becoming an independent.

I was on Tinder for a little while! I started feeling left out when I'd be hanging out with my friends and they would all be clutching their mobile phones - smirking faces faintly illuminated by the tiny screens from which they would only divert their attention briefly at 20 min or so intervals.
All the cool kids were doing it.
I ended up swiping the entire app 'left' shortly after an interested party extended an invitation for dinner and drinks - to which I accepted - to which he replied "Sweet! I always wanted me some Heidi Hayes!"

My experience on tinder has been ok tried it for about 5 months went on a few dates ended up dating one girl and fucked 4 random girls off there I also gave pof a shot and have fucked 1 to 2 girls a month of there in the past 8 months.
