I went solo shopping at Superstore tonight and weren't tons of people in the store but most were couples..like how hard is it to understand 1 person goes shopping, other can stay in the vehicle..and buddy said it was like that at Walmart as well

I understand the one person rule, but lately shopping is the only time I get to spend time with my SO. We are both essential. I was doing six 12 hr shifts a week and she was close to that, even doing stuff from home on her day off.

Why not just order your groceries on line, then you can spend that quality time outside for a walk?

No way there should more than one household member shopping at a time.

All will be said all sides will always have a opinion. And everyone will always think they know more then the next person. That’s how these things go. U can put a rock in front of someone and another person will call it a pony. Humans are fuked and we all are on one course some of us will just get there sooner then others. Fuk’em all but one I’m getting cremated. But I don’t want that to happen in the near future. And I’m not nor do I think I’m the smartest man alive. I know there’s fukers out there that know more then me. So I’ll listen to them. This bullshit about code red is just that bullshit. If the province was taking this serious schools will be shut down. Everyone knows kids are germ factories everyone knows that. So really until they decide to do something about shutting down the schools why should most people give a fuk. That’s really the msg they are sending. I don’t know a school that has a gathering of 5. Do any of u. So until this whole “the schools don’t count” bullshit is out of the way really the only reason anyone is gonna give 2 shits is when they shut the schools down. If u have kids and u choose to see a sp. chances are ur gonna get Covid from ur kids before the sp ur seeing. That has a higher probability. It’s not the plague or a fuk of a lot more people would be dead. Not to say don’t treat it like it is. Each to their own during shit like this. Cause really. The province don’t care if they did. The schools would be shut down. It’s sending extreme mixed msging.
so stay safe if u feel like it.

School is essentially a giant day care system, without it parents wouldn't be able to hold down a job. That's why all the provinces are so desperate to keep schools open. Even if a parent is already working from home these days, looking after kids might be impossible.

I know a woman who is in a very technical and demanding job, working from home and keeping the family afloat financially. She is a brilliant person, smarter and more capable than I will ever be, but if her 2 kids can't go to school and she has them at home every day she will have a mental breakdown. She won't be able to work and juggle the kids and she'll have to go on stress leave at the very least.

Reading, writing, education yadda yadda yadda, that's all good. But if kids can't go to school the modern economy with working parents is fucked.

I also know a woman in the same situation.
Single parent working from home in technical field. She needs to have her small child in school or she can't work.
Schools are critical.

If you don't think your going to get sick at one of the local MP Locations , maybe just drive there with a Blindfold on too.... Only a few keep their places clean under normal conditions nevermind Covid, throw in nobody has a real name, not alot of accountability there..

The only way to ensure an area is 100% sanitized is to flood the room with UV light or a disinfecting mist similar to the airlines.

My daughter had the same problem. She's been working from home since April. Her kids school schedule changed about three and half weeks ago. The boys are now home 2 days a week. She had some trouble the first two weeks, but last week and so far this week things are going very well. Now her boy's are in grade 7 and 9, so they are a little older and a little more independent.

It is much easier in a household where the children are in grades 7/8 and up. One of my My neighbours has 3 kids all in grades under 6 (K, 2, and 5), they both work and are struggling

For the non believers all one has to do is look a Nunavut. Last spring and through the summer they had ZERO cases. In October a known positive traveller from Winnipeg brought COVID-19 into the community. The virus is now spreading like wildfire despite the remoteness of the area. Why is this happening, 1) refusal to wear masks, refusal to self isolate, refusal to not gather in groups, people not getting tested when I’ll even if moderately ill.

I don't understand how the st.b Osbourne group is still open! I thought all business were to be shut down for a week now?

It’s more of a private place that’s why. Unlike the Diamonds, EB and Studio where they a place they rent

Great way to sum it up.
Unfortunately part of the problem is the confusion/mixed messages people are getiing from the government.
They come out and say there is a ban on gatherings then walk it back the next day allowing groups of 5. The same thing happened a few weeks ago when they were to close bars and then the next day they reversed that decision to allow bars to remain open until 11. So I guess you can only catch Covid after 11 pm?
And then when they do announce restrictions it's always 2-3 days down the road. While I can appreciate giving people in affected businesses a heads up, I also saw an infectious disease specialist on TV, say that is counter productive to do this. It just makes people go into panic mode and flood into those businesses, significantly increasing contacts. On Wed. I was driving home from spending some time having a private ceremony at the memorial on Valour Road. I went through the Polo Park area and it was ridiculous to see the line ups outside Winners, Home Sense, Best Buy, Michaels Crafts, etc., because people were panicking that they were closing for a couple of weeks.
Last night my sister is telling how even the Canadian military is stupid and makes no sense. Her son, my nephew, is stationed out east. Right now their base is on lock down and the guys can't leave even when off duty. But she hears from him that they are allowing them leave at Christmas to come home. So there is going to be 1000's of military personnel, scattering all over the country, from various bases, at Christmas time and then returning to base a few weeks later. Sure they are supposed to self isolate when they arrive home but still this makes no sence. It's just another way for the virus to spread. She admitted that she will be heart broken not to see him as she missed him dearly and I'm sure all the soldiers will hate being confined to base at Christmas but again it is for the greater good. If anyone should understand this, it is a soldier.
The government at all levels neesd to stop with all the dilly dallying and set some firm rules that actually make sense and stick with them.
Cheers
J
This is just a flu. Fear mongering works on some people but not me. This is the best time to see an sp especially out of town ones. All you fear mongers can stay home and while you cower in fear I will be enjoying a young woman company as they are easier to book now. Wash your hands and tongues before indulging and enjoy. Have a great day and be covid free pioneers.

Don’t worry I’ll put your handle on the list of accounts to be deleted if they go inactive for 60 days(y)
