Wow, the rollercoaster ride of this thread absolutely astonishes me.

It starts with an individual seeking some attention and sympathy by declaring that she is "voluntarily removing herself" from Perb, (which lasted all of 20hrs. and 19min.) to a lengthy post about HPD - Histrionic Personality Disorder
It all comes down to this for escorts on this board it seems:

Soooooo I know you're fishing here. But this thread reeks of this and a few have tried to point that out. You reply by further proving their analysis.

I don't know that their assessment can be said of you as a whole person, but their assessment of you in this thread is bang-on.

It's just so "Vanessa White" of you, and mildly out of character. Perhaps the bug bite has turned you into a weird sort of Spider-Man, but the VW version? (I'm pretty much joking here FYI)
I think you hit the nail on the head with this Miss Melody. The ongoing responses did it (and I say that knowing I would probably do the same thing if I was in Miss Erica's place).
For the sake of her own reputation, I think it is time for Miss Erica to devote her efforts to other threads now and let this one fade away into quiet obscurity.

In Your Wildest Dreams!
This thread could use a 'time out'.
Funny you should mention that. I DID think about closing the thread this morning. Then I thought well, if I shut up, the bullies win. I get accused of being a dramawhore and someone calls the wahhhhhh-mblulance. I find it kind of funny that people are assuming that I am sitting here fuming, but I'm actually quite meditative at the moment, because the truth is: telling the truth is incredibly liberating. AS I said in a PM earlier, you cannot read my subtext, my body language, my tone or my inflection. I would really appreciate if people would take the time to realise that where this all started was due to a MISCOMMUNICATION between the moderators and me. I used the phrase "The original post has been HEAVILY pruned" in a PSA about HPV. It was interpreted as criticism and intended as praise, and I apologised privately to WCM for offending him by accident. I apologized publicly when I was chastised for pollluting a thread, and I aoplogised via PM to the parties involved who required me to OWN UP TO MY OWN BEHAVIOUR . Lord knows the mods here have banned people for saying ugly things about each other that are untrue. When I talk about experiences that I have learned and grown through, I am not trying to get sympathy. I am telling people to protect their sexual health so they don't wind up with cervical cancer like I did, or giving it to their wives like my first ex-husband did for me. But, ya know, I guess like Jack Nicholson said <insert movie quote meme here>.

If I close the thread, or if I ask the mods to delete the thread, then I am a chickenshit coward who stirs up drama and then runs and hides, right? At this point, no matter what I do in this thread will damn me in some people's eyes. So... tell me. What approach would satisfy the greatest percentage of the board do you think? Standing up as a fierce proud confident woman (or if I won't see you, a bitch) or acting like a real drama queen would and flounce away? Maybe we should take a look at the odds and over/under on that one? Ten to one that stand up wins out over flounce away.

I don't let bullies win. EVER. Bullies are why I became a teacher. Bullies are why I don't teach anymore. This part of it is totally IN character, just perhaps one that I don't often show. If you know me, you have heard me say I might not be a natural redhead, but I am a born redhead?

This is what I meant.

It's alleged that Vanessa can travel back in time to retort to these preposterous allegations :p

Sometimes, so I have learned but not always applied, it is better to stop responding and adding to something that is exhausted, as responses, as much as they may be justified, only add oxygen where oxygen probably isn't needed. And without the oxygen, the flame quietly dies away.

We know you are fierce. We know you are proud. We know your natural hair colour should probably be a flaming red head. And to many you are now also a drama queen. Walking away from this and letting it be won't diminish you in any way.

Right now you have the latter nailed.

OMG....HPD! That's it! That's what I had (and everyone else in my theatre group)....and they just thought I was crazy! (sexy...but crazy). What a hoot it was, too! I disagree with some of the terms, for example, sometimes group energy is so absolutely boring, and people are struggling to converse, so, stirring up the shit a little, and introducing risque topics, helps break the ice. Maybe we aren't all 'dependent' types; some of us might be very independent, so much so that husbands don't like their wives hanging around with us cause we might lead them astray.

Ah, well...then we grow old and trade the spandex and bustiers for baggy flannels and baseball caps....although, I do know some older gals that try to cling to the 'vamp' image, but, I am happy to leave the occupation of 'sexy protagonist' to the younger generation. Only 'Blanche' of the 'Golden Girls' really managed that well into her Autumn Years.

The grammar part of this thread was very interesting...a pity more fellows didn't chime in with their knowledge.
