What would you do if you had a time machine....

I would rob banks in certain time frames, use the money to invest in companies that would make it big. Return to own time and be a rich man.... 5-6 days work tops.

Start a Harem.... tho I might run into some ethical issues there.....

First things first, kill baby Hitler for humanity. After that, the usual stealing of precious metals, antiquities and such using modern arms and armour. Then maybe back to the future for the lotto and sporting statistics and back to my time.

So you get to do anything you like as you are the gatekeeper of time?Well first off I would snuff both Hitler and Stalin in person with a wicked nasty .357 round between the eyes thus saving 80+ million people from death.I of course would make myself disgustingly rich by not only taking advantage of the stock markets etc but also buying up valuable artwork cheap.Would also help kill the fuckers who did 9-11.For kicks show up at the Ford Theatre and shoot John Wilkes Booth through the heart when he raised the pistol to kill Lincoln....would not save Kennedy though nor his brother.

Basically I get the opportunity to change the course of human history.I would of course snuff Clifford Olsen out of existence as well as Pickton and Pol Pott and many others and I would feel no remorse about it.

It is a massive "what if" type of scenario and I can say I would be up to the challenge for the things I have listed beyond the material wealth which is of course a no brainer.

New ideas. Read your old newspapers and history books, find places major mineral discoveries occurred, stake the claim and do a bit of hard work. Play the stock market knowing when something is on a meteoric rise. Buy low and sell high.

You guys have no imagination. I would use the time machine as a concert tourist attraction. Who wouldn't pay a lot of money to go to Live Aid and see Queen? Or other bands and singers when they were alive or in their absolute prime? Sinatra? Mozart? Michael Jackson?

I would also save some of the lost works of classical music and the stuff from the library of Alexandria. Won't try to stop 9/11 or Hitler or anything too big.

Also don't go for long trips back in time. If you eat anything you'll die. The food processes back then are much different from now.

Somebody should see that Karl Marx doesn't get his works printed. Don't know if it would do any good to point out to Marx that conflicts in his theories could only be resolved with murder and theft. Maybe easier to do something to prevent Marx attending university. Marx only keeps coming around because he graduated Ph.D. from a prestigious west European university. From there it would be a whole new world existence unfolding and you might not know what to do next. Lenin and Stalin wouldn't have come to power. The peaceful transition from Czars to democracy in Russia could likely have averted World War I. Without WWI the hyperinflation that followed would not have precipitated World War II. No nuclear weapons. No holocaust. Nationalist Chinese would be running China. Reminds me of the analogy about the butterfly that started the hurricane.

I believe Karl Marx got his ideas from early Christian settlements, who worked together as a community and shared everything. Nice idea, but very hard to put into practice, because of human behaviour and greed.

Kinda like watching "Survivor" where most of the "waste of lifes" rise to the top, voting out very productive members. "play the game" now sends shivers through my back, when people say that ....

At university Karl Marx was a fan of imperialist apologist and philosopher George Hegel. Hegel's infamous quote, "What's actual is logical and what's logical is actual", said in his time was meant to rationalize slavery.
