Looking for some recent intel if anyone has been in the past 2-3 months only. I’ve read every old thread about all the dangers, shut downs, border hassles etc. Doesn’t bother me. Very functionally conversational in Spanish. Been to Mx at least 20 times. Wondering about the dances VIP and hotel options, costs, value etc at HK or another club close by. Gracias BM

Just crossed the border a few days ago, spent some time with a Musas pair ($275 USD for an hour. Crazy!!) Poked my head in HK, still the biggest collection of hotties in a strip club I've run into in a long while. Was saving my self for the lesbian team, so didn't partake. If you can get there, you should go.
Well I have NOT been there recently, but I do keep up in some detail with online message boards. The rank and file are grumbling about price hikes of late, and particularly those surrounding time spent at HK (short term room rental has doubled in 5 years, etc.).
It is generally quite a smooth and easy experience, and that goes double if you are smooth with Spanish and you don't drink too much while in the area.
I as well wouldn't be too concerned about political/environmental factors in Zona Norte unless something sudden, and large enough to get the attention of mainstream San Diego media became known in the hours prior to a planned visit.
Those not too familiar with the routine/area would probably do best to try to afford a room at HK for a first trip there. Some deeper reading would help in the way of requesting rooms less exposed to noise and other, uh, factors.
The cost per session is really secondary to the immense variety of prospects you'll find all in one place and nearly all looking for you as well.
