Lots of Haters on this thread...all I can say is Tiger kicked some ass with a solid round of golf and that flop shot on the 16th is every golfers dream shot.....I have hit one similar to that and when it rolled into the hole I jumped 4 feet into the air and let out a very loud YEAH!!!!!!!!

To say that Phil has done more for golf than Tiger is ridiculous....Phil does not have his own foundation for the advancement of youth and I am sure that gunboat wearing size 22 mother fucker has his own collection of skeletons in the proverbial closet that have not been exposed to the public.

Tiger's biggest fuckup was getting married in the first place...he was the world's first sporting billionaire and had a taste for hotties....he should have played the field and had his fun till he was 35-38.The notion or thought that his sponsors pushed him in that direction is laughable.Before Tiger Woods hit the golf scene Nike did not make much golf equipment beyond maybe golf shoes and now Nike offers a plethora of stuff in all the ranges...irons/drivers/hybrids/putters/shoes/gloves/bags/balls fairway woods.....Nike also did not cut Tiger loose during his troubles nor reduce his endorsement fees....they knew a wiiner back then and stuck through the hard times.

If Tiger brings that same game to the US Open he will be at 15 with 3 to go and a few more to raise the bar.

Don't confuse ignorance with an opinion. Did you guys read my first post completely. I said he is way over rated but I also said he is the best golfer on the planet ever. He is over rated because of the love you guys and the rest of the world have for him.
Half of his problem in the past year has been lack of playing. In the past couple of months he has started to play a lot more and he is getting his game back.

I just think (personal opinion not ignorance) that golf has been a lot more exciting over the past few years with Wood's game in the crapper because anyone can win and has won. I think that when Wood's game is on and he wins the US Open by 15 shots its a lot like watching the US Basketball team win the Olympics boring. It was great to see Argentina beat US in 2004.

Woods made it cool to golf. Young kids from all walks of life wanted to golf because of him. He also brought fitness to a different level. Screw all the haters that say he was or is on steroids or other drugs. Now there are a bunch of fit guys. Westwood is really buff these days...I think he has overdone the whole weightlifting thing. McIlroy is not the doughboy he was when he first started. he is pretty lean and strong looking - maybe his tennis playing GF is also an influence.

You don't have to be ultra buff. Guys like Dustin Johnson and Charl Schwartzel are lean fit guys who look like athletes. I want to barf when I see slobs playing golf at the pro level and smoking while they walk the course as well. These guys are going to be Olympians in a few years for fuck sakes.

If you live in Vancouver you can play the public courses. When I lived there I used to play Langara, McCleery and Fraserview. They were all about $40 for 18 holes which is very cheap. This was 3-5 years ago. So I'm sure the prices have gone up a little bit. But I really enjoyed playing them especially the first two. I only played Fraserview a few times because it was pretty hard to get a tee time there.

I don't see myself as a hater but he benifitted from using HGH just like all the baseball players of the last decade
