Since Tiger/GP/Atlantis/etc. are inherently transient with their employees, I always found any extensive review almost pointless...each time I read about a stellar experience, the person has either quit or moved on. I guess that's part of the allure, since you'll never know until you show and take a leap.
...here's my Odyssey of Vancouver from yesterday afternoon/evening:
The border was a piece-of-cake (but at 3:30p mid-week is generally light), but about a mile before, The Agents narrowed 4 lanes into 2 and brought traffic down to a crawl, and at first it looked like they were 'pre-screening' each vehicle...very strange cuz they just stared. Once in Canada, I decided to try-out a currency exchange vs. the usual bank machine, so I detoured into White Rock...much to my surprise, my USD went much, much further using this option, ($400 turned into $530 almost if by magic).
I tried to make contact with a few on my TDL and a couple of referrals from a few on Perb, but no joy...tried to jump on LL, but my IP must still show from The States, so that didn't work either. Then I recalled a thread about Thrifty Johnston and that was only 3 blocks away...found it, entered and the sole attendant offered CBJ only (no FS) and I understood, thanked her for her time and made my way to GP.
Traffic was a bit sticky on Marine Drive and I was trying to meet-up w/Jasmine by 4:30p cuz she was only scheduled til 5p...got there at 4:45p and I tried to have the owner (Pauline) talk her into staying an extra 30 minutes, but she had a family obligation, (but dang is she ever beautiful!) I had a fun time w/Krystal before and heard great things about Dina, but Ashley just had that twinkle in her eye (we shared an hour together about a year ago and I enjoyed every minute), so the decision was easy.
