How do you search a SP that only has three letters in her name! The system won't accept it

There is a search sticky in the Lounge called searching Perb

One post suggests placing an underscore after your three letter word

"Tia_"

"Mia_"

But I've never gotten it to work although others claim to have got it working.

Searching VBulletin on google indicates it's enabled at the server level by admin.

It also depends on the version of VBulletin too.
