So (at least in the US) there is a sweeping movement over the internet where Instagram/Snapchat/Twitter models (as well as Twitch/Youtube streamers) are being reported to the IRS for the unreported revenue gained from their followers.
The IRS has this policy that reporting those who dodge their taxes are entitled to 30% of said person's owed taxes; that is if the snitch has a clean tax record themselves. Therefore there is incentives to actively pursue ladies who flaunt themselves as cam-girls, or social media models. If these social media models are raking in huge cash for their activities, and not report their income (because tbh some see it as under-the-table income), they could get in serious trouble.
Not sure how this works in Canada, but as a concerned (albeit, novice) member of the perb community, I'd hate to see ladies get hurt by this.
I won't post links, just google "thotaudit" to get the jist.
