The save on in Surrey has had this self serve buffet style tray in action all along and it is still operating even now with the increased spread south of the Fraser. It is usually fuller than this, I caught it later in the day when it’s been cleaned out a bit. Doesn’t seem right when all the buffets are shut down at every restaurant or at least someone is serving you from behind a shrouded counter. Makes you wonder who is running these places, is it another one of Daryl’s deals?? FWIW you can't ingest covid... posts like these show how uninformed some people really are.
Right, and these as well as other self serve food and drink always have hand sanitizer nearby. The problem with buffets is more that different parties get too close in the line.

Of course, the guys in the background aren't using masks. I go into the Save On in North Vancouver and almost everyone is using masks inside.

Surrey has a large Covid outbreak happening, how many different hands touch those tongs, this doesn’t not look safe at all. The alcohol rags are empty at times and so is the sanitizer which is not even near this station.

An Asian food place near me has a buffet section, but they've walled it off with plastic shields and have a guy on the other side who is the only one handling the tongs, and spoons and he/she dishes up what you point to and how much you want. Not perfect, but seems safer than this set-up.
