This is how VE treats it's MOST loyal girls

 This is mostly a post to warn the girls out there about a great injustice that was done to me - but I would also like to let all my loyal clients know I will be moving on from Victoria's Eden and why.

I have been a loyal employee of VE for over 3 years now - I've been there with the good times and bad - and always felt it was best to stick with a company even if things were not as good as before - just to show my own level of commitment / loyalty and work ethic - all things that are very important to me.

I have now decided to move over to Seductions for the following reason:

The accusation:

Bottom line I had $120 stolen from me, on the basis that this money was going towards my license fee - I just found out today that VE had actually cancelled my application and told the license officer that I was no longer employed and would not need a license.

The Facts:

It is mandatory to have an escort license in Victoria - the cost is $250 = the process is to have an interview with the local licensing officer and fill out an application (which is sponsored by the agency that you work for). Many agencies help the girls pay for this application by taking money off each call until the $250 has been collected, then the agency will pay your license fee for you, basically acting as a "bank" - once you have your license you are more then welcome to work for other agencies - or go independent - whatever you want - but until its paid for you are at the mercy of your sponsoring agency (as you are paying the cost of the license on a payment plan with them).

SO - in chatting with the licensing officer today I was informed that VE had infact CANCELLED my application and told them that I was no longer employed by VE - this was done on March 28 /06 - even though I was paying towards my license a total of $120 - and was even told as a gift that the rest of my license fee would be covered by VE and that my license should be arriving any day!

In conclusion it’s a slap in the face, a total shock and honestly makes me feel a little sick to my stomach. I have done everything to be a good loyal employee - worked hard, stayed there even though girls have been jumping ship and clients have been disappearing... It's sad because I remember the days when we had a great team of girls, staff and awesome clients - no more though it’s been dying a slow death for awhile now.

SO girls - be careful this goes for any agency - make sure you save your own fees towards your license, because I had to learn the hard way - that there is nothing I can do, I basically saw a client for free ($120) and paid the agency fee out of my pocket - so unfair in my opinion but lesson learned and hopefully no one else has to go through this.

Cheers, Kari.

P.S. this will be my last post as Kari@VE

Kari, sorry to hear what happened to you. That was low and dirty on VE's part. I can't understand the reasons why a lot of companies treat their staff the way they do. I just don't get it. Anyways, best of luck to you at your new home.

I was also shocked and disgusted to hear this. Taking her money and then lying and making her think her licence was still on it's way? Especially to such a loyal lady. I will be joining Kari at SU. If any other girls suspect that something similar has gone on with their licences, I encourage them to call city hall and see what's up.

I am very sad to read this. Back in March Kari for personal reasons asked if it was possible to not licence at that time. Shortly after the City called and went through a list of those licenced last year to enquire who was still working for VE. To honor Kari's wishes I said she was not. This cancelled her automatic 2006 licence application. No money had been collected at this time.
A little over a month later we decided it would be best if she did in fact licence. Kari over the next few weeks contributed $160 (not $120) towards the licence fee. She went on holidays and as a friend I offered to pay the balance as a gift. When she returned I sent in her money along with other new applications from our ladies.
Kari did in fact enquire to when the licence was to arrive and I told her it should arrive any day as there hasnt been a consistent timeframe in which licences have arrived in the past. It hasnt arrived to date but I can assure everyone that it ISNT from any kind of shadiness. If there is more procedure that was supposed to be followed because of the initial cancellation I was not informed. This of course is not Kari's fault. I am just pointing out that I didnt have a need to 'steal' a meager $160 from a long time VE lady who I actually considered a friend.
If someone would have come to me with this I would have most certainly gotten to the bottom of this and made sure the licence was processed asap.
As for the free greek? VE doesnt force any of our ladies to do anything they are not comfortable with especially for FREE. Greek is a service provided by only a few ladies and is discussed in private between the client and lady only. VE does not have anything to do with these arrangments. Management does not take a fee for this service nor do we set the price. Kari has been working for awhile and I would be very surprised if this was a situation that has occured recently. Money first, service second. If it did happen recently then it is something that was not brought to my attention.
I am truly sorry this situation has occured and quite surprised at being accused of such petty theivery and lack of character. My hope is to repair this relationship but if that is not to be I would like to wish Kari the best. She will be truly missed.

I think the laws in Vancouver are the same as Victoria are they not? Wouldn't it be a shit show if the LE actually enforced the licencing thing in Vancouver as well!! There would be sooo many girls out of work and the turnover would be half what it is and the troubles would probably also decrease in a big way. Is that not what rules are for? Does anyone know why this isn't enforced in Van city?

Seems like a GOOD ANSWER to me!? Sounds like the age old problem of "What we have here is a failure to communicate" as in Cool Hand Luke.

Just my humble opinion.
yes...a very well thought out answer, indeed....
I think I'd have to side with Kari on this one...based on the numerous stories I have from different girls who have worked there. That's all I am going to say about that, though.
