I have read a few posts that talk about the great disappointment that occurs when an SP leaves the Industry.

Some guys like PRAXIS have said the following.

"This explains her sudden and permanent(?) departure from the business - it''s too bad as she was one of the best and nicest SP's ever to grace the scene. "Well, at least we know now that somebody (and we don't know who exactly) outed her to her parents and this (prematurely) ended her "career" in this business...I guess that's one sure way of eliminating competition.


This to me demonstrates a true lack of perpective. I think we all try to rationalize our way through this hobby, but I am willing to admit that this industry is not ideal for every SP, and some (i would suggest many) come into this industry for the wrong reason.

I don't know that it is too bad if someones family helps an SP find alternatives.

I am quite sure I would not wish this industry and all of its complications on people I care about......

SOME SPs are built for this, but some do this becasue they have to.....

In what sense do I have a "true lack of perspective"? Is this another one your thinly-veiled attacks? Leave me out of your posts, please.

BTW: I know more about her story but I care not to divulge the details in public (for obvious reasons) - what you perceive as a lack of perspective is just the result of what little information you know about the particular SP and her personal situation - let the story rest.

In addition, I am glad that she's out of the business (hopefully for good).

BTW: I know more about her story but I care not to divulge the details in public (for obvious reasons) - what you perceive as a lack of perspective is just the result of what little information you know about the particular SP and her personal situation - let the story rest.

Let me spell it out for you...

It's too bad - that she is gone from the business as she was one of the best. She enjoyed her work - but it abruptly ended when somebody outed her to her parents. The decision to leave the business was not hers - it was forced upon her by circumstances beyond her control.

I am glad - Not all SP's intend to stay in the business for long. In one of my many sessions with this SP, she expressed to me what she wanted to do when her SP days are over...I guess now she has the chance to pursue them and I am glad that she is now back into the mainstream of life.

I hope this clears up your confusion.

If you read my post carefully you will note that I never said anything about this. I said, it is too bad that she is gone from the business. She freely entered the business - and was forced to leave prematurely due to family pressures. I was simply lamenting the fact that her SP "career" ended sooner than what she originally planned.

Bit of retirement of Edmonton SPs lately.

Seems like this year has seen a fair number of some longtime E-town SPs leaving, I guess there's always newblood coming into the business to balance it out, but still a shame to see some ladies go this year

I look at it as being in the ARMY or in Jail we all have are personal reasons for being in the industry. None of us truly want to be lifers. An We all have reasons to leave an we all hope we hope when we go career we are succesfull an when we leave we have served are time well. So to all you ladies that sometime suffer those fear factor days keep your head up cause one day all the $$$ will be worth it.
