Everybody keeps arguing period and frankly I have had enough. I quit. I have private msged fred and told him to take away my account.

I never banned a single PERSON in vcr (except harry snotnose today) and ppl jump all over me like I am the devil ALL THE TIME. Think about what happens to us. We are ppl too.

I followed the rules that were laid out for you. No advertisements and please don't argue/post personal info. Pretty straight forward. I give ppl a reason why they are banned. They NEVER agree practically.

Nobody will be happy, so why bother trying? That is my thoughts. I graciously resign and hope that someday there can be change that will lead to ppl being civil. But that is unlikely.

Emod, as an Edmonton poster, i have found you to be fair and reasonable given the inherent difficulty that accompanies the title. i cannot comment on the conflicts you have had with the Van group, but i would hope you stay in Edmonton (just think about the women).

there is a huge range in Van posters. on all levels.

Maybe it would be better to ban the few than to try to make everyone happy. I know that you got the worst of another mod's actions regarding some bannings but some levelheadness is needed around here at times.

Please reconsider.

I agree completely with LG. I certainly understand why you're going. Its a headache that no one would want. But you'll be missed. I found you to be honest and fair and forthright. You're interventions in the winnipeg section usually brought about cooler heads. I can only imagine the number of complaining pm's you receive.

That would be enough to drive anyone to despair.

lol mariolopez... not that easy.

1 got about 200 FUCKING pms the last two days. This is a bit ridicluous. All dealing with similar problems that have been rehashed for months and explanations given that nobody accepts. They may not be the right decision but IS it that big of a deal? There are a myriad of boards on the web, i don't say go there. but you aren't going to like 100% of everything on everyboard. It is a fact of life.

Also: Please grow up, and forget about things sometimes. All decisions MAY not be fair or to your liking, but it ain't the end of the world eh? Lets be happy. I think the more you complain, sometimes the moderation gets worse. Because it frustrates us honestly. You try not to let this get the better of you, but it does annoy you and no matter how deep your temper is, it is hard not to play a role when somebody hounds you for months.

I have considered resigning for months and have expressed that to many. That is why I am not reconsidering now.

Good luck with your future endeavors and I wish you much happiness. You did an outstanding job (from what I could see) and some of the things that you implemented in the Edmonton section, such as the sticky with the MP websites were brilliant. Obviously I don’t know about all the crap that you went through and as you indicated you have thought about resigning for quite some time, so I respect your desire to stop being a moderator. I hate that you’re going but I respect your decision. The only thing left I have to say is…

The problem is that good mods don't see this sort of thing (how much they are appreciated) until they give up in disgust. All they usually see is whining assholes that have nothing better to do than live out some petty sense of grievance on this board.

Man, are you right. Edmod, just a suggestion, but my brother in law found this worked wonders when he coached kid's hockey. When somebody starts bitching avout the job you're doing, ask them if they would like to take over the position?
