I started pooning, elsewhere; about 14 years ago and it's worse now than it ever was. Currently, Winnipeg is in a bad spot and I believe BP is a driving factor in the prices going up and the service going down. To many gang bangers with computers pushing their girls. They are choking out and tainting girls who would have otherwise realized that it would be in their best interest to provide the best service possible. These girls aren't about the repeat customers. For first timer pooners brought into this kind of disposable environment this is probably considered the norm and don't know what a good SP is.

There are times that the women don't seem to understand the money involved.
I am not going to start some big thread about the cash aspects, but know what I would deliver for 200 plus and hour and I have 2 degrees.
When there are women that don't try to do the extra for a client that is willling to pay that amount, it is insulting.
If it is just a physical act, then it does get tiring, as you end up feeling like a slave to your libido.
I want to have an experience. I want to have my fantasy realized as closely as possible for that hour.
If you aren't looking like the girls that come from Montreal or the type that work in Vegas, then enthusiasm, and understanding of your clients needs is all you have for an edge.
Having some women feel that they are doing you the favour in the way they give attitude, or smart ass comments to text just because you are asking what is provided. Can you imagine someone giving you a hard time when you ask what the meal comes with, or if a salad is included? And a waitress gets asked that over and over all day....for minimum wage. Why can an SP feel entitled to use that as an excuse when she makes 20 times minimum wage?
That is what makes it tiring, as there just isn't the type of quality that you would expect for the price.

Geez it's sad to read this stuff. I used to go to the Peg regularly but stopped 4 or 5 years ago. All my faves have moved on or retired (Kerry,Monica, Brooke, and a whole bunch more that I don't recall- that place was heaven for a long time- so many GREAT ladies.) There's been no reason to really go back. Like I said-sad.
I really feel that by posting " I don't poon anymore" or " I only see touring ladies" isn't doing any good for the local market. I would think that talking in this way won't encourage newer ladies from going independent, new girls from starting in the business, or establilshed ladies to keep working. This "I hate local SP's - no one good is in this city - I quit " talk is so great. Especially on an ESCORT REVIEW board.

I can relate when I relied on Nevadas for my source of p4p it became one dissapointment after another if I found a lady I liked she was usually fired or quit because of fines within a few weeks, tried broadways and that is enough to make anybody hang it up, but in the past year I have benn fortunate to find some gems I see my favorite a couple times a week and I consider it cheaper than having some high matienence bitch that thinks the universe revolves around her
Well here's my 2c worth. I to , for varying reasons have cut back, and basically only see the same girl, and occassionaly someone new....as variety is the spice of life....10-15 years ago , for $100- $140 , one could have a amazing time , with a awesome local lady....now it seems $220- $250 is what the proven local girls want , and 200- 250 "might" get you a ok time , with a ok lady , unless you really do your homework. 10 years ago we had maybe 1or 2 touring girl a year here...now we have 20 or more a month..with rates of generally 250- 350 hr , and you might have a good time. Touring ladies need higher prices to cover their costs, and local girls need to realize this fact
With the influx of touring girls , came local higher prices, and more local "indy" girls... as the high prices attracted all the SW's to think they could get in on the action too.... 10 years ago we had maybe 10 local indy girls....now (if you included back page) you probably have 100-150 local indy girls. I looked on EC this morning , and I counted 53 ladies, of those 21 were touring girls!!! Of the 32 local girls left...I counted 5 that I would definitely recommend....3 that I might recommend...and 1 possible.....as far as Backpage..I wont even comment , however I suspect there might be 2-5 that might be ok.
Then I looked at Broadways and Nevada , and again , each place might have 2-4 girls that are ok. In summary....very few good local girls compared to total girls available, and with most guys looking for variety , it leaves the remaining poor ones with many clients who are searching for the diamond in the ruff, which keeps them in business.
My conclusions: Prices for local girls are overpriced in general, and service for many is very poor. The top girls will stay busy , and will be able to get the higher price, the rest will struggle to pay there drug bills. However , the higher price , keeps the guy looking for the diamond. A great girl , charging 160- 200 hr , providing good service , would be extremely busy in Winnipeg. (my wages have not doubled in past 10 years). To many girls get into this buisness for a quick $$ , but few get into it seriously , and do it correctly. Many locals could learn a lot from the likes of Shedevil, Zoe, Shailee, Soleil etc.

I didn't think my post would stir up such an undercurrent of dissatisfaction in the current scene. What I thought might be my own feelings or even declining testosterone levels seem to be shared by many here.
My apologies to the few top notch ladies out there (you know who you are) whom I would never lump into the same arguement with 98% of the rest but many of the comments from my collegues echo my own feelings.
Basically an overall decline in quality/talent/service accompanied by a significant increase in rates has made the pooning experience more stressful than it is supposed to be. Like someone said ealier, without this turning into a rate debate, alot, I said alot not all of the SP's out there don't seem to realize how hard alot of guys need to work to earn the $$$ to see them. For the married guys it is even harder when they have a wife watching the bank balance. Then to have it all go south because of a bad experience is not fair.

They seemed to want to have as much fun as you did and often you were having so much fun, the hour went over but nobody complained. And if you did occasionally have a bad experience you were out maybe $120 - 150. No big deal and you moved on. Now it does seem more like a business. You go in, do your thing and leave. In many cases you don't feel that personal connection you used to, even if it was just fantasy. Now with alot of the ladies it is just about getting off. Not to be too crude but like I read somewhere, now it is often just like masturbating into someone's vagina.

Why not just cut out trying new ones, and just see the known quality? Or are you an all or nothing type of fella?
I totally agree. I have been cutting back as well. Only seeing visiting ladies and one locals. The issue with visiting ladies I find that the good ones seem to travel all at the same time and sometime it is hard to match my schedule with them. The good ones are very busy, I need to book way ahead. Sometimes I don't know will I be in town or free after 10 days so i can't book and when i find out and try to book, there is no empty spot. So, it's been a struggle. I stopped trying hard. It can be disappointing sometime. Last weekend I tried to book one my fav visiting lady but she was all busy and couldn't find a time which works for both of us. sigh!
Then I am left with no other option then try someone (not well reviewed) and that's a big disappointment most of the time. I thought may be it's just me and my luck but reading this thread makes me think it's not just me or my luck.PS: Great post Farmboy! good information.
I understand a frustrations with an increase in price but at the same time it isn't fair to compare prices from "10-15 years ago" Hell gas was forty nine cents a litre then too. What I think some guys are finding is that after doing this for a number of years it starts to feel hollow, even with ladies you click with there is not a lasting emotional connection. I guess I might compare what some of you are feeling to smoking, there is a point in life where you enjoy that first smoke of the day, but then there comes a point in life where there is no joy in it anymore, you are going through the motions. I guess it is an individual decision to decide how & when you want to leave this life, but the long dramatic goodbye's made famous by retiring Sp's often result in a return after a period away Maybe you all just need a time out (or call it a rest some of you aren't getting any younger =)

Maybe thats what we all are lacking???I agree that the % of good ladies out there is less than what it used to be. Used to be most of the SP's were a good experience, but now as the touring ladies have driven up local prices, as another poster said, the SW's think they can get in on it and now we have a flood of low end providers charging top dollar, so the % of good experiences is not what it once was. But as another poster said, stick with the well reviewed, and probably local ladies and you will be fine (low end touring girls are now hitting the city too!). EC isn't the sure bet it used to be, but it is better than BP. Stop looking for that diamond and your odds of a good experience will be better. But if you go hunting for a diamond, stop complaining when you find coal instead (I think I took my witty pill along with my grumpy one this morning!).
Although I am far from wealthy, for me it's not about the price but about the value, "% of good experiences" is right on the money. I am only an occasional pooner, so I like to be able to count on having at least a decent experience most of the time. These days, that seems harder and harder to do.

That applies not only to the local indies who advertise on EC or BP (shudder!), but also to places like Nevada and Broadway. There are periods where there is almost too much choice, and periods where hardly anyone is interesting to me. We seem to be going through a dry spell lately, but I doubt it will last. Eventually, there will be a new crop of ladies that we’ll all want to see.
I checked E-C today. Over the past 8 years or so, I have seen 12 local SPs who have ads there. Of the 12, only 2 are definite repeats; 2 are possible repeats, and 8 are non-repeats, for various reasons, not necessarily crappy service. There are also 2 local ladies that I haven’t yet seen, but would like to. If I had done this exercise 5 years ago, I think the number of repeats would have been much higher.
It’s no secret that I prefer more mature providers than some of you. It’s been my experience that the best overall service is usually provided by ladies who become SPs in their thirties or even older. These ladies usually don’t have a prima donna attitude and understand the concept that a happy customer is a repeat customer. They provide an experience, rather than a quick suck-and-fuck. Too many of the younger ladies are just trying to make a fast buck and have little or no regard for their clients’ wishes. While there are certainly exceptions both ways, I believe this is generally the case.
The visiting ladies, especially those from Montreal like Victoria Jolie and the Garden of Eden ladies from Ontario, have raised the bar for quality and service, and many of the local ladies are unwilling or unable to compete. The only response seems to be that the younger local SPs are trying to raise their prices to those of the visiting ladies without a corresponding boost in service.
However, I remain optimistic that there will be an improvement soon.
On another note, I hope Jethro Bodine and ihatebullshit will change their minds and remain here as productive members. I have always found their reviews useful, as well as their general input.

Times like this I were a fm provider...There has been 30 seperate reputable members on here saying pretty much the same thing...Now take the average of 2x per month...Thats roughly 2 clients a day! Now this translates to $12000 per month.... All we have to do is train one girl to take on the work load of 2-4 hours a day and their set....HMMM a sp training school???? lol....heres to wishing things get better
Yes, the visiting SPs have raised the bar. Usually I find the ones from Montreal are the best. Locally, I have found some hidden gems just through networking here and the other *erb forum. I had a threesome last night with Cherry and her friend Kendra (not the one from BP). Cherry used to be on EC under the name of Hailey. Kendra does duos with her occaisionally.
