"He hates anyone with an education"

Curious of what work place you are at. Doesn't everyone have some sort of an education?

Unless he's
referring to higher education, which means he has none?
Air cargo
There’s a lot of manual labour and a lot of admin.
There is a clear divide between older guys who do the donkey work (we all call it that) and the admin staff.
Older guys are usually computer illiterate and are not interested in training. This prevents them from advancing. So when a visible minority gal comes in with a business degree and rises to a management job these older guys see it as political correctness and themselves as victims.
These guys are scared for their future. They are losing status as newcomers advance ahead of them. These guys are scared of the world around them and want to defend their position but don’t know how.
The company will pay for school but very few take advantage.
Many are from rural Manitoba and grew up in small towns where they never saw coloured people or anyone who wasn’t Christian. One recently retired, he was from around Dauphin and had been outside Manitoba only twice in his entire life.
The demographic of this board is pretty cosmopolitan. We must remember there is a large sector of the population that is very different from us. They have a much more isolated upbringing in rural Canada- remember there was no internet when these guys were kids, and many could not afford a computer.

Don't be too broad on your generalizations...I was part of this 1978.⏬⏬⏬ '60 Minutes' came from Manhattan, not New York, as I was corrected at the time, to interview me and do a story on this 'new technology'.

I've been connected ever since.

"Experimental use of Telidon began in 1977 and the first bona fide field trials began in 1979. Commercial market trials began in early 1981 with Project Ida, conducted by the Manitoba Telephone System. This evolved into a partnership between Manitoba Telephone and Infomart, Canada's main videotex software and service provider, to create Project Grassroots in rural Manitoba in 1982. Grassroots, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was North America's first alphamosaic commercial viewdata service with regular subscribers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northern Ontario. Its specialty was farm-related information and services and it was extended into the Northern United States by 1985."

I can't help feeling that fundamentalist christians would have strung up Jesus in 2020 on trumped up charges!!
They claim following the teaching of the Bible and the word of Jesus but they keep going by the old testament which is a bad translation of the Torah from Hebrew to old Greek to what we have today and that was rearranged to Christian views . The average Jewish person following the Torah is even five times more accepting and tolerant than they are ... something was lost in translation for sure .

There were lots of debates about what was going to be on the bible, there were contradictory accounts and what we think of as a “Bible” is a carefully selected collection from a much larger body of writings.
Remember when the Dead Sea Scrolls were found some people were not happy! Some parts have been vandalized because they are heretical.

People always take religious writings to fit their own means

The US Trump crowd extremist white Christians funded the majority of the donations to this cause, they are talking about what commies the Trudeau liberals are on Fox News. Fundamentalist Christians seem to have a problem with pretty well anyone, Mix in the antivax and Q mantra and this strange brew keeps fermenting. Never thought I’d see such a dumbed down segment of the population think they should control the country, these guys are Anarchists and perveyors of the Tyranny they are always railing about!🤯

There has always been a segment of the Canadian population that eat that US bullshit up, people that basically think they are American, and want to import whatever the latest "culture war" shit is going on down there. They also can't handle it whenever they lose elections fair and square, and never figure out why they lose (namely that most Canadians do not want any of their preferred blue clowns in power; it has nothing to do with public love for the current party in power).

(Anarchists? No. That insults anarchy. These convoy guys are just thugs, and the idea of holding power through violence excites them.)

Check this out - a lot of the convoy leaders got interviewed in this thing, and boy do they ever talk themselves into deeper trouble.
