dont try to change too many things at once. do it at a pace you can handle and make sure to enjoy the moment of each one as it happens.

thanks everyone ...

i think its time to 'go' in more ways than one and am working to that end as we speak ... i am busy organizing my stuff to put in storage, give notice and hit the road ... this may take a little time to do, but it is a goal worth working towards.

as for the rest, the have greater and lessor importance at times ... but a change of scenery is in order.

I've grown to resent "special days" - birthdays, x-mas, father's day--- they seem to only bring home the mistakes made in life and the paths not taken.

But what I try to do is two things:
First --- look at feeling down as an emotion, and emotions are unreliable and they will pass.
Second -- concentrate today on the choices I have to make today -- and focus on making the best ones I can.

Thanks for your honesty

3. loved someone who loved me back the same way.

4. had a best friend.
If you want to take care of two at a time, get a dog.

Well I agree that if you put it "out there in the Universe" that changes will occur... I too, detest Xmas time... As it brings up anniversaries that I detest to remember... But they are there... I too have a Father that ONCE I would **LOVE** to say he is **PROUD** of me in any small way??? Okay being an awesome **Masseuse** *eg* Perhaps might not??? Be the thing he will be brimming over but heyyyyyyyyy... The thought that I put out there...??? Was that I totally DETEST Xmas... & Guess what? I am going to spend Xmas on the Island... With a party of 5! Sooooooooo, put your innermost thoughts out there & changes WILL occurr!!
Also, my ALL TIME FAVORITE PLACE to get away to, that is LOCAL? Is Salt Spring Island... LOVE IT!!! An artists' mecca!!! Just a thought?
What I do to get thru each day? Color me Funny... But every day I go to www.poetry.com & I enter their daily poetry writing contest for 100$ USD... Would be fun IF I won ONCE lol But I keep the poems I transcribe... & It feels kewl??? "I wrote that" Writing is great for one's soul... I found...
LG., g/l many of us detest Xmas...
Carlotta
But if you desire to share some Xmas Cheer... Just detour for some Bailey's & find me!! *w* Xmas specials Always... Especially for a LG **SMILE**

Pleasantly Surprised...

Pleasantly surprised
+++++++++++++++++++

Out there beyond what you know you can do, a pleasant
surprise awaits. Out beyond your comfort zone, there is a
precious treasure waiting to be mined.

Almost every skill you now possess was once beyond your
abilities. Every place where you now feel comfortable and at
home, was once unknown to you.

There are more things that you can do, higher levels that
you can reach. Though they seem a little intimidating from
where you are now, they can soon be comfortable and
familiar.

Push yourself a little bit beyond what you know you can do.
And you'll discover something truly empowering.

You'll discover that you can indeed step forward into
unknown territory, and you'll uncover valuable treasures you
never knew you were missing. Your levels of confidence and
competence will grow beyond anything you could have
previously imagined.

Push yourself a little bit beyond where you are now. And
you'll be pleasantly surprised with where it takes you.

For you L.G., I hope you step out of your "Comfort Zone" someday soon!!!
