I think that is so cool. in the 60's a rumour went around that the Who were to perform in Regina but alas was just a rumour, the headline read" Yes Who But Where"as apparently the Taylor Family who donated the land for Taylor Field would never allow its use for a Rock Concert.Yes I know who cares.

They were in Winnipeg on Tuesday and it was an excellent show. Great sound and great selection of tunes.

I got better seats for being 10 mins late, (Having drinks at the gay bar... )

All with the price of being groped by god awful mullets.

It was worth it. Now, just have to get to the Stones this weekend... And sneak a camera in .

Fuck the Who. I loved their music - still do. They were great...once. They may even still be great, but when was their first farewell, we'll never play again tour? About ten years ago - or more. Collect your pension and stay retired when you say it. Do they need the money for computers to troll for underage kids?

The last time I saw The Who, they were at the closing ceremonies for the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg . It was a great show . I envy you people in Vancouver.

Actually, it was 1982. 'Last' show was Toronto, Maple Leaf Gardens, Dec. 17/82. They did pretty good with staying retired until Live Aid, and were then coaxed back out for the 25th anniversary of Tommy in 1989. After that, I guess it started to get ridiculous...

I love both the Clash, and the Who. Regardless of what you might think of the latter, the Clash would never have existed without the Who, nor would the Pistols or any other British punk band.

As for integrity, no one sticks to their guns forever. Do you remember Big Audio Dynamite, or Havana 3 a.m.? Both good outfits, but solidly different from anything the Clash ever professed themselves to be.
