Microsoft is giving me a hard time about my not genuine Windows XP. Time to buy a new machine anyway. The new Windows Media Player supposedly has a feature that rats you out if you play bootleg media. And that HDCP bullshit. They want to control everything. Just say no to HDCP.

If you want to go back to the good old days of easily ripping a CD, get Virtual PC free, here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtualpc/default.mspx

You can then run a Win98 or W2K Virtual machine and use all the tools that used to work until DRM came along.

Virtual machines are also nice if you surf dangerously.

Why is it possible to change your profile to read banned? Shouldn't that be reserved for the mods?

Also, how come some people who are banned are in Perbatory and some people who are banned aren't?
