I was hoping to talk about fire places and their value in setting the mood for a session, but had no where else to turn. You see, fireplaces are warm and sensuous by nature, keep the dungeon warm for those naked moments, and are visually appealing. So why so few fireplaces (wood, gas or electric) in dungeons? My guess would be either that the rooms typically used for dungeons start out with more utilitarian purposes (basements, storage rooms), or perhaps the thought of flames and hot things makes the subbie's sphincter muscles scrunch up.

Really, a dumbass......I think it a fair observation on his part.......you got to think this through. Wood fireplace usually come with a screen to catch sparks, so consider how easy it would be to turn that fireplace into a small cramped cell for your sorry ass. The electric fireplace I agree would be useless, but the gas fireplace............well, considering my Germanic background..................:nod:
