Just remembered, Pauls Subshop on Imperial in Burnaby.
MASSIVE subs. Not cheap but we are talking two full meals out of one of these babies.
Re a good Cuban in Vancouver, not sure. Toronto though - there is a little Cubano place on Roncesvalles that serves dynamite cuban sandwiches. The sweetness of the pork makes me think of being in Cuba!

Look up the Sandwich Nazi in Surrey. He makes the best sandwiches at his deli. He closes soon, but worth going before he shuts down.

I wouldn’t say they’re the best in general, but an unbeatable value for sure and yeah actually one of the best deli sandwiches in the area. Salam, the owner operator, is an absolute riot too. Be prepared to be insulted/ripped on the moment you set foot in the premises. His lewdness and offensiveness is all in good fun and he’s probably one of the friendliest, most generous people I’ve ever met.
