I guess honda's Wayward Pines thread was lost in the recent server crash. Still watching, honda? I've been watching but am really not sure what to make of the current season. There's enough interesting sub plots to hold my interest so far but the narrative has been kind of a mess.

Outcast on HBO got off to a very good start with the premiere episode but the next couple seemed to lose steam. Although, last week's ep was actually written by Robert Kirkman and definitely repiqued my interest.

Cameron Crowe's new show, Roadies premiered earlier this week. Good cast. I quite enjoyed the first episode.

New season of Ray Donovan started this week as well. I know there were at least a few others here that were watching it at one time. Solid season premiere ep. Really looking forward to see where that goes this season.

Season 2 premiere of sex&drugs&rock&roll tonight on FX. Again, I've posted previously how much I enjoyed the first season of that show, so I look forward to tonight's new ep.

Season 2 premieres of both Dark Matter and Killjoys will be on space tomorrow. space will be running a Dark Matter marathon during the day before the premieres. I recently noticed that Dark Matter is also available on Netflix now, so anyone who might be interested could also check it out there. I really enjoyed these two shows' first seasons and would recommend to any of the sci-fi fans out there.

And while I'm at it, I will also note that the NBC, David Duchovny period series Aquarius is also now available on Netflix, with the new season 2 eps being added on the Friday following their Thursday night network airings. It's been uneven at times but I've found it rather compelling for the most part and would recommend.

I've also been watching Preacher on AMC on Sunday nights. Based on the comics. I wasn't familiar with that title. I do vaguely recall seeing it on the shelves and being intrigued by it but I never did pick it up. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are exec producers on this. It's odd but engaging.

That's about all I've got right now. Curious what others might be watching or thoughts about any of the shows mentioned. Anybody here have either shomi or Crave?

Archer, I love it. Found season 7 on a torrent. Katya Kazanova is the sexiest woman ever on TV.

MM.....Wayward pines I think is surprisingly good ( season 2 ). We have to remember.....and this is Key. Wayward was originally planned for one season. They never anticipated the total popularity of it from start to finish and i think they scrabbled post season for ideas. In fact, I know they did because a buddy of mine had a part as an extra in the series and he told me this.
Considering, its above fair value I think. I love the series. I'm getting the impression that it's slowly plotting along ....reasons I mentioned....and building up to something. Also, come to think of it, 1st season was also slow paced

Preacher......it's ok but I'm still trying to figure it out. I'm getting it but.....kind of gets weird from time to time.

I can't wait for the new season of " The strain "

Its not really a guys show but as I watch some reality TV and always wondered about manipulation of the contestants on the show behind the scenes I have found that "Unreal", a dark comedy/drama I guess you could class it, on the Lifetime Channel really slick, well acted and produced. Season 2 started a couple of weeks ago. The main characters are the producer of the show and one of the associates whose job is to cause drama between the contestants on the show to create good tv but they have to suffer the consequences. Based on the Bachelor reality tv series and there is undoubtedly a lot of truth to what happens here. One of the actresses, Shiri Appelby said that to prepare for the role she talked to several reality show producers and came away amazed at how little they cared about what happened to their contestants as a result of being on the show. Unreal won and was nominated for various Critics Choice and other television/movie category awards for its first season.

Oh and I concur on Archer being great. Still working on season 3.

I am watching Wayward Pines season 2, I knew they were not going to top season 1. That was the best TV in years for me. Based on that I thought the plot is dragging but there is hope, 5 more episodes left and it looks like the abbies just want revenge cause it was Pilcher who took them out first. Good old story of bad/evil except the humans are the bad ones not them.

Good thread again MM.

On Netflix, I have watched season 2 of Bloodline. And I thought my family was dysfunctional :D ? Great series.

Aquarius is good most episodes and a couple of cheesy ones for good measure. I'm uncertain where they can go with it being tied into the Charles Manson connection.

HBO - Roadies while initially I thought it was decent, upon viewing the second episode I am meh about it. Seems not really edgy enough for HBO and could be on mainstream TV. The characters need either to have some more flaws or do something more outrageous IMO. Cameron Crowe is banking on his "Almost Famous" movie that I have watched numerous times to give him an instant success with Roadies.

Ray Donovan is ok so far and its nice to see Lisa Bonet in the latest episode. Haven't seen her much since the Huxtable family.

I'll try to check out some of the others you have mentioned.

Bosch

I've seen commercials for Bosch on a number of occasions but at the time it was being advertised as an "exclusive" on CraveTV. Apparently, it was originally made for streaming on Amazon's streaming service. While guide surfing this afternoon, I noticed that CTV is now premiering the show as of tonight.

It looks interesting. I think I'll give it a look tonight...

And season 2 of Mr. Robot premiered last night.

Currently waiting with bated breath for season 2 of sense8. A bit bewildering at first, but it gets a LOT better. I also believe it's the first show with a transexual actor.

I remember seeing this at the theatre as a kid. Yul Brynner and James Brolin. It left an impression on me. Now they have modernized it and it looks really good.

I was still a bit too young to have seen it in a theater but I remember watching it and Future World on TV often in my younger years. The Westworld HBO series starts Sunday night and I too am really looking forward to it...

And streaming on Netflix as of tomorrow: Luke Cage!

It was a really interesting story. I like that the delivery was disjointed.

Not the first transexual lead. Orange is the New Black had a trans lead (Laverne Cox) before Sense8. Candis Cayne has also done a ton of TV work.
