In the 90s had a friend with brain cancer. A tumour was removed and his behaviour completely changed. He had wild mood swings and paranoia. There was no way he could work or live by himself.
He lived with his sister for a few months but he scared her kids. Then he was in assisted housing but wasn’t supervised enough and kept getting into fights. He didn’t take his meds properly either.
His family did eventually get him into a secure facility but it was a huge expensive ordeal.
Not everyone has a family with resources and determination to do that.
It could happen to anyone here.
