Travelling the pooning highway for many years, it is inevitable that our trysts become like punctuation marks on the journey of life. I view a typical pooning session like a visit to the CN Tower. We travel along our respective life roads, and then bang! There is a big event (session) that makes us go way up high. We buy our ticket, take the elevator to the top, experience the incredible views, feel an adrenalin rush as we hang over the edge, hug the tower for bit, and then drop back down and drive away once the thrill has been sated. I have climbed high towers, many times. It was fun. It felt good, at the time. It is not what I treasure most.
In contrast, and on rare occaisions, I have met a woman who knows how to Bridge Sessions really well. There is a tower, or two, on the span, and the high rush is definately there. But more importantly, there are supporting wires that hold up the bridge deck as you drive across. When I look at reviews and lounge threads, there is a great emphasis on the session--the tower. Not so much on the build up or cool down. Yet I think this is what differentiates the real gems--they bridge your life journey from one section of road to another. Don't get me wrong, I have experienced many awesome 'tower sessions' with extremely satisfying results. But in the fullness of time, my longing is for more intimate 'session bridging' experiences. The towers are fun to visit, but the bridges take you somewhere.
There was a wonderful woman in Vancouver about a decade ago that was an absolute master at session bridging. I will never forget her. She did not advertise, she was barely on the radar, but she had a cadre of addicted regulars that would see her whenever she was avaiable. She was unbelievably fantastic at building up a session and cooling it off afterwards. Life became a series of interesting roads connected by stunning bridges. You agree on a sessions date, maybe a week or two out (otherwise you didn't stand a chance to see her). She knows the best way it is safe to contact you (text, email, phone, PM, etc.). About 3-5 days before the session you get a message something like this:
