When I booked with Wendy last week, she was nothing but polite. She even asked whether she should say "good morning" or "good afternoon" since it was around noon. When she couldn't fit me in at the time I wanted, she apologized with a "so so sorry," even though it wasn't her fault at all.
If she was honest with you and didn't misrepresent herself in any way, then I think it's only fair to treat SPs with courtesy and respect.

While I was in Vancouver for work, I talked with an independent Asian SP . She said she gets tons of messages every day. Some guys just send "?" to start the conversation or ask for services that aren't even on her menu. If she doesn't reply right away, they keep spamming "?". She also said some people deliberately mess with SPs or seem to get a kick out of wasting their time.
Honestly, I don't think most sane SPs would intentionally offend a client, especially when their own safety is involved. If something went wrong, there's probably more to the story than any of us know.
