He wanted payment in some crypto-currency or other. If I didn't pay, he would post the video on the internet and send it to all my business contacts.

I read the email to my wife, we laughed, and I deleted it.

Email scams:

I didn't really think people fell for them but figured somebody must or they wouldn't waste their time.

Turns out I was wrong. Not only was I wrong but I KNOW the young Lady that fell for one.

Email from the CRA saying they needed her bank and account number and PIN for her tax refund. After reassessment she had MORE coming to her.

So she did. Took the last $435 in her account. Gone!

Jaysus! I knew she wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer but that blew my mind. Didn't know whether to feel sad for her or laugh.

Went with Sad.
