As a young kid my family and I have had similar experience. We once lived in an appartment where one of the neighboors was abusing his wife and everbody knew it but nothing was done. I really did not under stand as I was too young to. But from my aunt I hear it ended happily the bastard got sent to prison. I still do not understand why people just stand by.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.

Who defines courage and who defines evil?

A newspaper prints a derogatory image of somebodies deity.

One group doesn't care.
One group finds it funny
One group finds it distasteful
One group is severely offended
One group feels it is blasphemy and it will corrupt all who see it. It is more offensive than the holocaust. They muster up their COURAGE to stop the EVIL and blow up buildings an kill the blasphemer's and all those around them, thus saving their souls.

I am not trying to belittle any sacrifices anybody has made in the past, I am just pointing out a call to action isn't always the right answer.

Oh please. And have you considered that the Chinese government has a program of discrediting any of its opposition.
Oh Puhleeeez -
have you considered that the Dalai Lama has an interest in maintaining their control in Tibet?

These are FACTS I have posted - NOT propoganda!

Read the links & check the sources yourself.

As and example during ML Kings activities, the FBI had apolicy of this same propaganda campainge against him.
Propaganda campaign?
No, read below:

The Dalai Lama's administration acknowledged today that it received $1.7 million a year in the 1960's from the Central Intelligence Agency.

They admitted it themselves Fudd, it is a matter of public record.

As for the Nazi's, many people fought the Nazis with out guns through passive resistance. Slave labour workers who were forced to build Hitlers war machines conducted work programs of work slowdowns and subversive sabotage of equiment. People of occupied countries held nationwide strikes and work slowdowns in resistance to the Nazis.

Ghandi and Kings passive resistance brought there people freedoms. You do not need guns to resist oppression.

Also got my chain and cover, thermos with green tea and my sign off to the rally.
Good for you Fudd, but don't piss on the graves of those who sacrificed their lives so that you can enjoy the freedom to go out & chain yourself to trees.

You owe these men & women who raised arms against foreign oppressors a debt of gratitude & respect because they had the courage to face the enemy & even die to protect their country.

There is righteous anger & sometimes good men have to fight & be willing to die & kill those who would harm the innocent.

You do not need religion to tell you that killing women & children is WRONG.

How many did the Germans kill?

Who do you really think made the difference in WW1 & WW2 ...
Those who chose to bear arms or those who didn't?

Fudd have you ever read the story of Sgt. Alvin York?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alvin_York

York was a pacifist Christian American who did not believe in raising arms against & killing another man nor did he believe in war.
He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in World War 1 at the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in France.

He attempted to avoid fighting by claiming Conscientious Objector status but when given time to ponder on all those fellow American, British & French brothers dying he chose to to fight for a cause he considered just.

We need more like him & like "Smokey Smith"

You should at least attend one protest rally so you can realize that there are real people trying to make a difference iin this world. Sometimes picking up a protest sign is a much better way of resolving issues before things escalate into warfare.

I don't need to ...
I served my country & you, through my military service where we were involved in many humanitarian, relief & charity operations & even gave regularly from my meager pay to charity organizations.

I joined with the full intent to serve & give my life if necessary to serve a country I believed in & for a people who I believe in.

During my time in the military I felt as though I served during a just war with the backing of the UN & a mandate that was internationally accepted.

I don't need to go to a rally, I & those like me have served & sacrificed more than anyone there are willing to understand.

Protest rallies are for people who like to feel self-righteous about how much they care about making a difference, but who don't have the commitment to work on anything that will actually make a difference. Protest rallies are for dilettantes and posers. People who actually care about making a difference don't have time for protest rallies, since they're spending their time doing the hard work that makes life better for people.

If politicians had listen to the peace rallies people would not have had to make such sacrifices. Imagine if Bush had listened to the people if politician put peace befor war, then you would not have had all those dead.

thing is, people at rallies seldom see the BIG PICTURE, just the one little area that they are concerned about. They can be a huge time waster.

Some rallies I do see as being time wasters. But I try to keep to the ones that can do some immediate help. Peace rallies of course to deliver to the politicians the message that we do not support going to war and to resolve issue and to go back to the negotiation table and work something out befor the shooting starts. To bad Israel and Hammas can't just sit down and talk thing out a lot of people caught in between are really suffering because there stupidity.

Rallies to help out the homeless I find are very usefull. City politicians seem to be most receptive. The last one I was at was trying to encourage the City to open up some more shelters. It was really important this year due to the extreme cold. I can't imagine being poor and homeless and having to live outside in this weather.

I nominate ALEX JONES!

Who else has the most listened to internet radio show in the world with 16 million listeners per day. Most viewed videos on google, until they started erasing the view counts then not even showing the view counter. Gee I wonder why. Now I know some of you sheeple are gonna call him a nut without discrediting anything he says. You know what we call those people? GOYEN! It means FUCKING CATTLE. Look at the stuff him and his guests said years ago and now look, most of it has come true. Like the depression we are entering.

i have always wondered about the holocust,
how did it happen

how did we let it happen,
but there has been many attempts at genocide, even recently rowanda,
bosnia,

and the same question comes up, how did we let it happen,
but its the wrong question i think,
because when we say we let it happen,
its generaly referred as the international community,
britian the states the un, etc,

but how could germans not know, and not cry out,
how could fellow black africans, kill each other for something as silly as tstue or hootoo,
and christians and muslims, in bosnia,

i keep wondering are we any better,

i think it starts at home with one person, doing what is right,
