It fills a void. It's a bad thing not to have simple answers about how the world can be so fucked up. Greedy bastards rule a big portion of our lives.

This is the basis of religion. We have no control over this life, so we choose how to spend our next life according to following some set of procedures. Evidence doesn't support it? Doesn't matter. It's a matter of faith.

If you're not religious, look for meaning in the secular. Aliens will come and rescue us? Only appeals to a very few (usually if you're interested in being anally probed).

So then, let's blame the world's problems on a specific group that "really has control."

If there is actually a group that's responsible and has been planning whatever for decades (centuries??), it makes it much simpler. We can blame them, expose them and send them packing, and then we will have paradise. Evidence doesn't support it? Never mind, just listen to the "facts" that do.

Sorry LB, it is just getting old.

Simple quit jumping on me for bringing up an important subject. If this is bullshit TELL ME WHAT IS. Saying its all bullshit and not proving what is is the lamest arguement of all time. You guys cant argue my claims so you make fun of me like that dis proves anything. And yes a few people back up what I say and yes I have posted reviews. Not to hard to click my name and review my posts. Well maybe it is for those who dont know how to do research.

Here go google operation northwoods and tell me its fake or bullshit.

You may not like the aggressive, in your face, I know what's right approach that Alex Jones uses to present his argument, but you have to admire his dedication. For all you non-believers out there, I hope like hell YOU are right, that previous history was actually just an aberration that we have no need to learn from. I also hope that you have based it on seeking out power and challenging it's legitimacy.

Somewhere in between

I think Alex Jones is pretty much bang on, in this vid, which is scary! That being said, what this Bilderberg group wants to achieve is one thing and what they get is another.

But I do agree 100% that Obama was hand picked...it's so obvious... The video of thousands crying and screaming that this is the greatest day in their lives is truly sad shit!

Alex Jones himself is also about the money...this guy isn't working for free and he is just as greedy as the next asshole in this world!

I could go on and on about this vid, but don't feel like it...it's definately educational to say the least. Great post BTW!

Right on, Hank!

An interesting article below on the same.

"Ceremonies occur at a time of transition between states," she says. "Birth, marriage, wartime, sickness, death-these are moments of great uncertainty and anxiety." In those moments we desire the power to rein in the chaos. Making art, Dissanayake wrote in Homo Aestheticus, gives us "the ability to shape and thereby exert some measure of control over the untidy material of everyday life."

http://www.washington.edu/alumni/columns/march09/art.html
Ah, yes, but that is a positive response to chaos. Asking real questions, and using art to create personal meaning.

I don't think, however, it will satisfy those who choose to apply simple answers to current events. Whether they are religious and see events as a sign of a coming apocolypse, or resort to a series of conspiracy theories to explain what is really human-fueled chaos, they refuse to test their theories against real life. Satan, the Bilderberg Group, whatever...they provide an answer you can focus your rage on.

No -- I don't have to admire anyone's dedication when they focus on misinformation. You could replace "Alex Jones" in the above sentence with "Adolf Hitler" or "Osama Bin Laden," and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't agree then.

Just because someone doesn't believe in HIS answers doesn't mean that we shouldn't learn from history, and of course everyone should seek out power and challenge its legitimacy.

They should, however, look at what information they choose to "believe" in and test the theories. Faith sucks. Thinking is good.

Misinformation? He said 9/11 would happen in New York 2 month before it happened. Missinfo? Duhhhhhhhh? His gueast Lindsay Williams said oil will drop to $50/barrel 6 months before it happened. Missinfo? Duhhhhhhhhhhhh? How long could a radio show host say shit like cancer viruses in vaccines with a website with 10 billion hits and 151 million ip adresses. How long before he gets sued? Unless hes telling the truth and they dont want to shed light on the subject. Wake up. I notice when I ask people to PICk something Alex Jones has said that's bullshit, yet no one does. I wonder why????

Who's picking on the USA? We are picking on the dictators that bought the country and are running it into the ground. America fought off the British so the British banking families came in and bought the country.

They do. You just don't listen. Those who don't bother know that it is pointless to argue with you. Nevertheless:

List?
1. He's a pentacostal Christian. That's loony in itself, and an example of how he believes stupid shit because...well, because he believes it. Bullshit.
2. The whole damn 9/11 conspiracy thing. Because it is loony and makes no sense. Bullshit.
3. The whole "New World Order" stuff. Bullshit. Anything that concerns the UN or any attempt at international co-operation at anything is "proof" of his theories.

He bolsters his credibility by pointing out lots of loony and crazy shit that actually happened. The US government has planned or tried to carry out (and has carried out) lots of stupid, and immoral things. So have other governenments. They will keep doing it. So what?

There is, of course, a Bilderberg group, and they do meet and talk about how they want the world to unfold. They probably also smoke cigars and eat caviar, and bring in the best callgirls in the world, for all I know. They are a bunch of rich, spoiled assholes.

Jones, however, interprets everything as yet another proof of his theories.

He is just one more ultraconservative grumpy American looking for scapegoats.

I wouldn't want to live in his world, where everybody carries guns, no one has abortions, and everybody lives according to an eighteenth century constitution.

But none of this matters to you, because it doesn't agree with your received beliefs, therefore it is irrelevant and comes from my ignorance, unenlightenment, whatever. Therefore, it doesn't refute any of your beliefs...and nothing can, because your beliefs come from Alex Jones, and they are 100% correct.

No different that arguing with a Jehovah's Witness, or going into the Scientology center and questioning the whole engram thing.

All I will say to this is if people are naive enough to believe in what the mainstream media says and feeds us as legit; has their heads in the sand. Yes Alex Jones is a very passionate person. The one thing I think hurts him is his passion and in your face attitude sometimes. I do always put a little salt on what I'm reading or watching though, with Alex Jones I don't believe all of his stuff he brings out is irrelevent. When he brings on a guy like Ron Paul who can run circles around half of those idiots about the economy and foreign policy. That to me shows some credibility. Jesse Ventura a former governor independent may I add. He brings on guests who don't feed the public the same stuff all the time.

I will say this there will come a point here during Obama's term where the heat will be turned up I believe and the public will start catching on to this return and volley and return game of tennis betweent he democrats and republicans. I do find it funny though when you have a 1000 plus page stimulas package that has to be passed within a short span of time.

Just because the mainstream media feeds us crap and bullshit doesn't mean that Alex Jones has the answers. Horizons need to broadened beyond that, too.

When anybody KNOWS all the answers and can explain the reasons for complex events, they are always full of bullshit. Every single time.

I agree with you on the basis of nobody knows all the answers...... Places like this forum here are excellent areas to at least exercise opinions and ideas or beliefs. Hank you seem like a very smart and sharp guy. I just wish would this could be the case when it comes to politics in the media if we could at least have that, would be a start.

At a time like this, an election year, what is most fascinating to me about this kind of stuff is, it wouldn't matter who was elected, people like Alex Jones, and their follwer masses like Candlebearer, would still exist, and still spread the same dogma, pointing to the fearsome 'devil hiding in the bushes', who is plotting against us all.

There now has been a Complete Change of the Guard, Obama and Bush have NOTHING in common, but these Conspiracy types dig and dig until they find some guilt by association which 'concludes' the new guy has been part of the 'Master Plan' since the beginning, or has been co-opted or subverted, and is now assimilated into the New World Conquest Plot.

And it wouldn't matter who got elected, it's always fate and destiny, and they'll 'prove it'. You could elect Forrest Gump from Nebraska U., and he'd be implicated by the Alex Jones types, by connecting enough (shaky) dots.

The Kinks once sang,
"Paranoia the Destroy'a"

Oppenheimer said,
"Before you believe what
you WANT to believe,
KNOW what you need to Know".

So who's going to vote to start the thread to ban Silky again, permanent?
I make the motion here in Parliment...

Ok I said PROVE it. Prove to us that 9/11 was an outside job, telling us you disagree with Alex doesnt prove anything. show us what jet fuel is made of what is max burning temp is etc. Show us that there is no New World Order even though world leaders each week call for it as a solution to the economy. Do you have friends that are religious and because they are religious are they all nuts? Oh but Alex is because....?

He goes to Bilerberg and they get info on the topics like economic collapse via housing crisis 2 years before it happened. Thats a fact right there son. Call girls I dont think so, unless you can show us news clips of this, if not its just your opinion and holds no basis in reality. And that 18th century constitution is for the people to control there government, not the government to control the people. The first truely free and soverign nation buddy.
