thank you 3b. how is it that i've never heard that tune until this minute?

btw, do you have any ideas why these people seem to lose their phoney limey accents when they sing? i've noticed that nearly all my life

Darlene Love on Letterman

One of things I most look forward to every year around this time is seeing Darlene Love perform this on The Late Show. I guess with Letterman retiring in May, tonight will be the last time we'll get to see this...

Last year's performance:

Hey MM

You might like "20 Feet from Stardom" a documentary about great back up singers like Darlene Love and Lisa Fisher (Stones, Tina Turner, David Bowie etc)

I've heard good things about it but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. But I've got a few days now and I think it may be on Netflix, so I might give it a look soon ;)

So, I did finally have a chance to watch this a few days ago and I did indeed thoroughly enjoy it. Thanks for the reminder/recommendation, bbb :)

And now... how about some Pop 101? I like this one because it makes me smile and laugh and yet, it's still a catchy tune that I also enjoy on that level.

Somewhat reminiscent of Evanescence.
