Vancouver Sun or Van Courier had yet to do any articles on Asian Micros in apartment buildings. Does non-pooning condos dwellers know of our evil deeds? I am sure it would have leaked to the press by now. In Hong Kong, press would have been all over this, documentaries weekly, social workers would start swarming the place. Organization such as Pooners Annoynomous would start up.
Truth is we don't create a lot of noise, which is always good, but ever since I gotten into this pooning scene. I probably never live in one of these Van highrises again, don't want any mamasans in be my next door neighbor.

What other choices do high rises or apartment dwellers have? Hit the 649 and move to one of the castle houses I see on Oak Street by Cyclone Taylor?

I know a property manager who said there is very little that the Strata councils can do. The police in Vancouver are not interested. Frankly, most people who live in high rises probably don't even know when these exist right next to them. People come and go in building without anyone being aware. If there is no loud music there are probably few complaints anyway.

Once complaints start to arise then the micros just move on. In the bigger newer buildings downtown noisy parties and drug dealers are probably a bigger concern.

It really depends on how proactive the council is, whether the complaints come from owners or renters, and how persistent the neighbors are.

I personally know 2 people (living in 2 different highrises) who have dealt with the problems of micros on their floors. One of the micros have been shut down by police and the other one is "under investigation".

Its a lot less noticible if an independent is seeing one or two people a day,but very obvious if a revolving door is opening and closing day and night and the same faces are riding elevators with different men all the time.
