I don't think the operative word is SOLELY, but rather ULTIMATELY...... according to the ladder theory, which is similar to the theory put out by ??? can't remember, but the show was on PBS, and it talked about survival of the species, and the mating rituals of humas..... something along the lines of ~ males view females or look for mates based on certain criteria, such as child bearing abilities, looks, etc.....

Why do you think the uglies are always the last ones picked.....

That is an awesome link!! I have a friend who is recently divorced with a new pair of C cups who still thinks men and women can be friends and I keep telling her no they can't really, guys will be friends as long as they want to fuck you, as soon as they learn it won't happen they end the friendship.

She keeps saying "but I just want to be friends, I don't understand" when I try to explain it. She has a few "intellectual whores" I think that website called them, that are on the friends ladder and don't know it. So instead of having the same Men 101 talk I am sending her a link to this website, then next time it comes up I have something to illustrate what I am saying! Thanks!!

Um ya. Did you read the ladder theory? Now think about your female friends, some you wouldn't fuck cuz they are too low on your ladder and what about the ones you would? If you knew they would never think of you that way cuz you are on their friends ladder, wouldn't you be insulted?

Maybe end the friendship was too strong, I forget to word things very carefully in case someone finds fault so allow me to reword it to say "they take you off the pedestal you were on, lose interest and don't pursue the friendship." Is that better?

That's what I'm saying!!

I know my perspective is different than yours because I am a woman, and have to be careful of date rape(been there done that). Men usually do not ever have this problem.

However I realize men have no idea how many times women are hit on by our so called male friends. Usually they wait, with seemingly our best interests at heart until we are drunk or upset then they try to get us into bed, for our own good I'm sure.

For that reason, I only currently have 1 straight male friend in my personal life and thats because you guessed it, he's high on the attraction ladder. And I am happy being friends but if he should hit on me, I wouldn't complain, because he is on the right ladder so to speak. Gay guys are the only male friends I need, and they fulfil every need that a straight male friend would, and then some. Oh and a lot of my customers have become friends over the years and I feel 100% safe with them because they understand that extras=extra $$, and would never take advantage like that.

I agree that not all men are the same and some do transcend their genetics but it isn't the nice ones I'm afraid of it's the duplicitous ones!!
