so i have been counting down the days to the annual 80's rock reunion charity fund raiser. it was last night at the roxy on granville.
and just like a child on xmas morn i couldnt sleep! i was so excited at the prospect of seeing old friends and being young again (if only for a few hours) my day was spent in a flurry of clothes flying everywhere ....decisions decisions. settled on the perfect outfit , hair was big and awesome ,makeup was just the right amount of smoky with heavy black eyeliner. tickets purchased on line...all systems go. shelley arrives at my house and we are on our way!
find parking not too far away ,and enjoy the walk down granville street with all its character. such anticipation and this year im part of the silent auction:clap2:
go to the front of the line to get my pre purchased tickets and then BAM im transported to an episode of star trek or something
the doorman directs me to the entrance and instructs me to scan my ID! WTF?wouldnt you just know ,I DONT HAVE ANY!
im sorry ,but at 46 years old i never thought ID would be something i had to worry about.
needless to say ,i missed the event i was looking forward to all year and in turn was not able to do my part for the charity auction.
