I was in Montreal during the Francofollies music fest showcasing local French talent. The love songs, when a freakishly gorgeous French Canadian woman sings it, has a profound effect. Standing there among thousands their voice disarms you completely leaving you feeling completely and utterly alone yet embraced by the greatest beauty. I picked up some cd's from Ariane Moffat, Lynda Thalie, Anais, Lara Fabian.
