They grow more "skin" out of it. It's not exactly real skin though, it's "bioengineered skin" or "artificial skin membrane", basically a thin, colourless sheet of skin cells with no blood or lymphatic vessels, pigmentation, sweat glands, nerves or hair follicles. A scaffold is seeded with skin cells from foreskin. They feed it nutrients and trick the cells into dividing. Within a month they can create a sheet 100s of times the size of the original skin sample.
