Money is everything in our society today. Our society is way too complicated, and there is too much paperwork.
Looking at todays conviences like cell phones, Cable TV, Internet access, cars (insurances), hydro, water, and gas (heating); all of which can be shut off for non-payment of money.
Then there is the have to pay things like income tax, land (house tax)(Aprox. 30 %) and GST (5%) and PST (5-7%).
Your biggest non investment is a mortgage payment with compound interest. Where most of your money goes to the banks or lending institions because of compound interest. (40%) Take into consideration that you pay at least 2.5 time the initial price of your home.... economic slave you are....

The reality is that most Canadians are living paycheck to paycheck and now most are failing to meet their monthly money payments. Personnel debt is at a all time high. The government is going into more debt each year and no way of paying it off. Drastic times are ahead, except for the rich....

Its all adding up.... 40 +30 = 70. So you have 30% to pay for your conviences.... Dosen't make much room left for fun stuff or the future....
Going back to the rich get richer.... I see a Robin Hood type of time coming up..... Steal from the rich....

Solution: Convert all primary mortgage to simple interest (no more than 15% on life of the mortgage). The money saved would be used to pay off existing debt. Any body making over 150,000.00 will get taxed 100% over 150,000.00 until national debt is eliminated....
Hang all criminals.... First ones to hang are the Bank presidents etc...

Yeah drastic measures.. but hey, its better than chaos that is going to happen, which is not really going to happen because the rich get you shit because the laws are tipped in their favour.....

PS have to wonder why there is so much criminal activity (which mostly evades taxes)....

And you wondered why I called you all economic slaves....

Have you considered running for the leadership of the federal NDP?

Or you could open your own bank and change simple interest.

Either way you're a winner!

A guy with his fingers in the honey pot. The status quo stays the same, the rich get richer, and the middle class is disappearing. The laws are not changing for the poorest in Canada, but they are only getting larger in number, and thus will vote in socialist governments. Its a regenerative cycle...

I don't know what anybody would consider fun, but its very hard to have fun, where most of your hard work is sophoned off by taxes and taxes on the taxes.... We pay more taxes with each year, along with getting less and less services....

That old wifes tales about taxing the air you breathe.....

Poverty line in Canada
There are 50 poverty lines across the country, one for each of these communities, with the highest currently being almost $41,000 in parts of Alberta, and the lowest just under $33,000 in parts of Quebec, averaging $37,500. These expenditures are then adjusted for family size and extrapolated to all other Canadians. The poverty line for a person living on their own is half of the line for the reference family of four. (google p line in Canada)

If you got money to spare, you don't care.
But for the majority of Canadians they are at the poverty or below. So how do you help them back to the middle class?

Food, shelter, water, air, safety, sleep. The basics of what people need to live.

Shelter. Renting is more expensive now then a mortgage. In the last 45 years a conspiracy amongst banks, real estate vendors, and assesors have contrived to increase the market place in large urban area cities which has migrated to sleepy townships. Everybody wants their house to go for mucho profit. The conspiracy is more a search through profit by flipping houses due to the free capital gains on private houses you live in (that is now changed but up till it was changed allowed houses to be flipped on a constant basis). Profiteers were flipping 3-7 houses a year, making cosmetic changes; usually leaving the last owner with the high mortgage and structural defect or 2.

Food. Food prices are way too high, meat is too expensive, so when meat is not being sold, the avg price of veggies will go up to make up for the loss of profit on meat.

Water. Your price for water coming to your house is going to go up. Why its another way for the governments to bleed money out of you... Seriously water will continue to creep up in pricing. So get out your rain barrels (avg price 100-150.00).

Air. In 2023, Canada’s air quality was indeed worse than that of the United States. According to the World Air Quality report, Canada ranked 93rd globally, with an annual average PM2.5 concentration of 10.3 micrograms per cubic meter (μg/m³), which is considered two to three times beyond the WHO’s recommended level. In comparison, the more populous U.S. had an annual average concentration of 9.1 μg/m³1. Despite its vast size and relatively low population density, Canada faced challenges due to raging wildfires, impacting air quality significantly2. However, it’s essential to note that air quality can vary across different regions within both countries . ok burning forest fires does not help!!

Safety. Lack of strong government control on illegal handguns and handguns used in crimes, has caused more people to go out and get handguns (influence from south of the border), which is a real disturbing thought if you think about it. The drug business is great but lots of conflict between groups vying for control, the use of illegal guns . The reputation of police due to racial profiling in the states has caused blowback on all police, even here in Canada.

Sleep. I say we are not getting those 8 hours of sleep everyday, people are way too busy trying to work and keep themselves above the poverty line...
