The economic impact of NHL lockout

Since there is no sign of the owners and the players coming to negotiate the contract, there will be cancellation of some of the regular season games which will be determined on Wednesday. I wonder how much this will affect the city economically.

BNN analysts, a few weeks ago touched on this. Should the NHL lockout go the complete season. They estimated that the total..........BC........economy would lose roughly $1 billion.

Some that were accounted wereT.V. rights, all local bars, restaurants, mechandise, advertisments, etc.
